3rd Person POV
"Welcome to Watatsumi island!"
It looked like the pancakes had gotten to her because Yoimiya had become courageous enough to grab Xiao by the arm and pull him along as she walked.
Xiao, however, obviously wasn't used to the closeness as he soon pulled his arm back.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to..."
"It's not your fault, I just don't like people getting close in general." Xiao uncharacteristically explained.
"The great adeptus explaining his actions. Now I feel like I have seen everything."
"I can still throw you into the water, Kazuha."
"I would rather you didn't."
"Then shut up."
And just like this, the group arrived on Watatsumi island.
"Your business was with miss Kokomi wasn't it, commissioner?" Beidou asked.
"Yes, it was. She had an urgent request about a certain underwater ruin."
"Underwater ruin? Is that something within the Yashiro commission's range of activities?"
"It is not. Things like these should go through the Tenryou commission, but..."
"The relationship between Watatsumi island and the Tenryou commission isn't the best these days." Another voice finished Ayato's sentence.
"Lady Sangonomiya. I trust you have been well."
"Yes, I have, thank you. On the other hand, Lord Kamisato, you don't look that well." Kokomi eyed Ayato with a concerned expression.
"It's nothing to worry about, really. I just had a surprise visit by a fox a dragon and the Shogun before we departed. I'm still not sure whether everything is okay on that side."
"Oh my! Is it still okay for you to be here, in that case, commissioner?"
"I wouldn't be able to do much even if I remained on Narukami island. I would rather deal with the problems I can actually solve, instead of thinking about ones I can't."
"In any case, I welcome you all to Watatsumi island. It's nice to see so many familiar faces gathering together." A gentle smile surfaced on Kokomi's lips as she looked at the group.
"You did say you needed help, my lady." Kazuha chuckled.
"Exactly! I couldn't do much during the vision hunt degree so I came along to help now instead." Yoimiya jumped in excitement.
"It is indeed so, lady Sangonomiya." Ayaka agreed as well.
"I am glad to receive help from all of you. May I ask, who is the young man that came with you?"
her eyes had finally landed on Xiao. It would have been a wonder if she didn't ask for his identity considering Watatsumi's current relationship with the rest of Inazuma.
"You don't need to be concerned, miss Kokomi. Xiao here is a yaksha from Liyue. I brought him along as a favor for a friend. If I'm not wrong, he'll be spending a few days here till someone comes to pick him up." Beidou introduced him.
Xiao's POV
I never get a chance to introduce myself, do I?
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Sangonomiya." I was about to give her a small bow, but she stopped me before I could.
"Oh, no, no, how could I accept it? Please refrain from bowing, master Xiao." She said anxiously.
