Ningguang's POV
Sigh.
"Is something wrong, lady Ningguang? Are you perhaps dissatisfied with the transaction?"
"No, no, nothing like that, commissioner. Please excuse me, it's just a certain yaksha that has been troubling me."
Ever since Xiao met Lord Barbatos- no, he said he wants to be addressed as Venti. Well, ever since the two met, Xiao had been seen more and more around Liyue, the harbor included.
Those who noticed his presence apparently reported it to the Millelith for archons know what reason and those reports were in turn passed on to me.
"Are you perhaps talking about Xiao?" The Kamisato commissioner asked suddenly.
Oh? That's surprising.
"The two of you know each other?"
"You can say that. He and Ba- Venti helped us out last time they were in Inazuma."
That's even more interesting. There is another person in on the secret.
There is no reason for me to bring it up though.
"Their relationship is both nice to see and extremely troublesome isn't it?"
"Did they bring trouble to you as well, commissioner?"
"My manor was just barely spared." He sighed.
"Oh my! They are indeed a troublesome pair."
"What have they done to you, lady Ningguang?"
Sighing I pulled a few boxes from the cabinet.
Bam!
One pile.
"complains about a certain drunk bard."
Bam!
Another pile.
"Alleged sightings of a yaksha. I don't even know why this is being reported."
And lastly.
Bam!
"Complains from both the Fatui and the Millelith about the constant large-scale arguments between Xiao and a harbinger residing in the harbor."
"You have it hard. I should consider myself lucky that Inazuma doesn't border Liyue and Mondstadt. Still, I would rather deal with a hundred piles of documents than have that group visit again." He grumbled.
"That group?"
Just what kind of horrible company did he have to have that expression?
"I'll spare you the details and just list them all for you. A dragon, an annoying fox, Xiao, Venti, and the Shogun."
"Oh, dear archons!"
Hmm. In this case, this exclamation might actually bring disaster.
"Even so, those two make quite an interesting pair. Had I known the two fo them separately before, I might have bet all my money that those two of all people would never get together. Their personalities are just..."
"Complete opposites?"
"Exactly."
That is indeed true.
