Side Story 6 - He kept his promise

Someone left a comment and it got stuck in my head.

I'll be tagging that person at the end of the chapters just so they know that they are responsible for this. :)

Beidou's POV

 How did I end up with this group on board again?

 To answer this question, let us go back a few hours.

 "So, you're saying that you want me to bring you to Watatsumi again?"

 "Yes."

 "Can't you just fly or something? You have him here as well." I pointed behind Xiao.

 Right behind him was Venti, or should I say Barbatos?

 "He can't do anything these days." Xiao murmured.

 "That aside, aren't you seasick?"

 "I'm not-"

 "Yes, you are." A familiar voice sounded.

 I looked up to see Kazuha, who returned at just the wrong time.

 "I really should have thrown you off the ship."

 "And yet you didn't. How sad."

 Ugh. I'm getting a headache already.

 "About going to Watasumi-"

 "Oh, you're going to Watatsumi Island?"

 Oh, dear archons please spare me.

 Right behind Kazuha came the most annoying group in Inazuma I can think of.

 "Good to see you, Commissioner."

 "Likewise, Captain Beidou."

 Kamisato Ayato, Kamisato Ayaka, Thoma, Yoimiya.

  "Why not invite the Shogun while you're at it."

 "I could do that."

 "Huh?" I looked questioningly at Venti.

 "Invite Ei- I mean the Shogun. I can invite her if you want."

 What the-

 "When did I say I wanted to invite her?"

 "Just now. Your thoughts slipped past your lips it seems." He teased.

 Had he not been an archon, I might have actually punched him right then and there.

 "So are we going?" Xiao asked again.

 I wanted to say now, but right now, the pressure was just too big.

 "Fine." In the end, I gave in.

 Well, the result was the same as I expected.

 Xiao got seasick again. Luckily we had both Venti and Yoimiya on board this time, so his mood was pretty good overall.

 Two groups formed pretty quickly.

 One consisted of the three above and the other consisted of the people I was trying to keep away from a moody Xiao + Ayaka.

 Sadly, my plan was ruined in no time.

 "No pancakes this time?"

 "Why don't I make you into a pancake Kazuha?" Xiao retorted.

 "I prefer to keep my good looks thank you."

 Dear archons! When did Kazuha become narcissistic?

 "Good looks?  Should I help you wash your eyes?"

 "I would much rather you stopped threatening to throw me off the ship."

 Oh, Kazuha. I hope for you that those threats stay threats.

 "Should I play something to lighten the mood?" Venti offered.

 "No!" Rejection came from not only me but the commissioner as well.

 "Why are you both so..."

 "I would rather not have a dragon on board."

 "I'm afraid that Guuji Yea would come along as well."

 Rejection flashed across his face as he sat down pouting.

 I decided to step away from this chaos for just a few moments to take a break. Sadly, it looks like even this couldn't be granted to me.

 SPLASH!

 "What happened!"

 I came back to see Xiao blushing, cursing under his breath, as Venti patted him on his back, trying really hard to hold back his laughter.

 Something isn't right. No matter how I look at it something is not right.

 The corner of the commissioner's mouth was twitching and both Thoma and Yoimiya had an expression I couldn't quite place. Ayaka looked worried and Kazuha-

 Huh?

 "Where is Kazuha?"

 Hearing my question, Venti couldn't hold it anymore and burst out laughing, Thoma and Yoimiya following right after.

 What's going on? 

 Wait.

 Xiao couldn't possibly have...

 I went past the group and looked into the sea.

 Nothing.

 I glanced back at them doubtfully.

 "Did you throw him off?"

 My question was answered with silence.

 We were going pretty fast, courtesy of Venti, so if Kazuha was thrown off...

 "Do we have to turn back or will you retrieve him on your own?"

 I was looking at Venti as I asked this. Thinking of the group's specialties, he was the best bet.

 He merely snapped his fingers and not long after a soaked Kazuha landed back on board.

 "Cough! Cough! Cough! What the hell?!"

 Kazuha looked up at Xiao in shock.

 I take it that he didn't expect him to go through with his threat. 

 "You deserved it." Xiao retorted.

 I wonder what Kazuha did to be thrown off.

 "I deserved it? I only said that-"

 "Wait! Xiao don't!"

 But the warning came too late.

 SPLASH!

This side story was created because I got stuck thinking about a comment made by @Aashy_12NV in chapter 52.
