Xiao's POV
Okay, so how should I say this...?
What even is this situation?
By the time I had arrived, the so-called underwater ruin, wasn't so underwater anymore. As if the stone door was some kind of plague, the seawater didn't seem to want to go anywhere within a ten-meter radius of it.
"Well, it does make my job easier."
At least I don't have to swim down to it.
I held my spear in my hand as I walked through the door, prepared for anything that may jump me, but...
There was nothing. What I saw when I entered, was just an empty corridor leading to a single door at the end.
Even so, my guard was still up as I walked, knowing that lowering it could result in a fatal mistake. This thought had proven to be right the moment I opened the door at the end of the corridor.
"Another one has come it seems..." An eerie voice sounded from nowhere yet everywhere at the same time.
I was hit by a large amount of hatred, further agitating my already restless karmic debt.
"Who?!"
"Ohoho! An interesting one has arrived. I wonder why it still stands after experiencing my hatred?"
Their hatred? Don't tell me this voice belongs to...
"Orobashi."
"Hahahaha! Interesting! Just like the first one, this one with the wind knows my name just like the one of lightning."
The one of lightning should be... Bosacius.
"How wonderful! I'm so delighted! Another worthy sacrifice for my return!"
Sacrifice for his return? But-
"He's dead. That's what you seem to be thinking, and you're right, but for how much longer? She had destroyed my body, but my soul still lingered, feasting on the ones on the island. My wrath grew and I regained my strength once again. Everything was so well till that masked bastard came.
He dared to seal my wrath, my hatred! How dare he?! It's a pity, truly a pity that he knew nothing! He wasn't told, hahaha, he wasn't told that they had sealed my would not long before that, hahahaha! How wonderful! What's the use of sealing my wrath if my soul still remains here?
Oh those little humans, they should have told him. Like this, he only wasted his power, his life. It was so amusing to see him suffer from karmic debt, to see him fall apart right before my eyes, not knowing that everything he did was useless! Hahahaha!"
This guy... How dare he!
I had the urge to kill, but I couldn't do anything.
I need to calm down, getting angry won't solve a thing. He's already dead, this is just his soul talking.
"Hahaha! How pathetic!"
I'm really going to lose it here. How dare he talk like that about my comrade?!
But still, I couldn't get angry. I needed to figure out how to handle this.
Even if I seal his hatred again, it wouldn't matter much, so that idea is a goner. What I need to do...
I need to somehow disperse his soul.
But he was a god when he was alive. How am I supposed to disperse the soul of a god?
