Silence.

That was somehow the strangest part.

Outside Sasuke's and my Susanoos, the entire world had been swallowed by the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Thousands of shinobi.

Our friends.

Our allies.

Everyone we'd spent this war trying to protect.

And inside?

Nothing.

No explosions.

No screaming.

No clashing weapons.

Just the five of us sitting beneath the protection of our Susanoos, waiting.

I hugged my knees against my chest.

My mind wouldn't stop.

Gaara.

Aunty Tsunade.

Dad.

Karin.

Suigetsu.

Jūgo.

Sai.

Everyone.

Were they alive?

What were they seeing?

Could they feel what was happening?

Were they—

"What's going on outside?"

I looked up.

Sakura was staring toward the walls of the Susanoo.

Sasuke didn't even look at her.

"What difference does it make to you?"

My brow furrowed.

"There's nothing you can do about it anyway."

I stared at him.

Sakura recoiled slightly.

And something inside me snapped.

"You don't have to be so rude!"

Everyone looked at me.

Including Sasuke.

"She's worried," I continued. "We all are."

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"So don't take whatever mood you're in out on her."

Silence.

I immediately regretted how harshly I'd said it.

Not because I disagreed.

I didn't.

But because I recognized the anger behind my own words.

Apparently nearly dying, meeting the Sage of Six Paths and experiencing Sasuke's childhood memories hadn't magically erased everything he'd done to me.

Good to know.

Sasuke stared at me.

I stared back.

Neither of us moved.

Then Sasuke looked away.

"I'm sorry."

Sakura blinked.

Naruto's mouth dropped open.

Kakashi Sensei's visible eyebrow rose.

I frowned.
