Pass or Fail: Survival Test

Two days later, we returned to the academy to find out our assigned squads. The moment I woke up, excitement rushed through me. I quickly got dressed before proudly tying my new Leaf forehead protector around my (B/P).

Then Sasuke and I headed to class together.

When we entered the classroom, I took my usual seat beside the window with Sasuke sitting next to me. A few moments later, Naruto walked in and, for some reason, decided to sit on Sasuke's other side.

I didn't have anything against Naruto.

Naruto, however, definitely had something against Sasuke.

It wasn't long before and Ino entered the classroom arguing loudly like usual. The second Sakura spotted Sasuke, she shoved Naruto aside and dropped herself into the empty seat beside him.

"Sasuke!"

I rolled my eyes.

"Here we go," I muttered.

Within seconds, the rest of Sasuke's fangirls had gathered around us, all arguing over who got to sit next to him. Honestly, it didn't bother me anymore. It was just exhausting having to witness it every single day.

Then Naruto climbed onto the desk and leaned toward Sasuke aggressively until their faces were barely inches apart.

I already knew this wouldn't end well.

All it took was someone bumping Naruto from behind for his lips to collide directly with Sasuke's.

The classroom erupted into horrified screaming.

Meanwhile, I doubled over laughing.

It was the hardest I'd laughed all week.

The girls were devastated that Sasuke's first kiss had been Naruto instead of one of them, while Sasuke looked moments away from murder.

Honestly, it was exactly what I needed after the nightmares lately.

Eventually, Iruka-sensei arrived and forced everyone back to their seats.

Sakura ended up beside Sasuke while Naruto sulked next to her.

Iruka-sensei began reading out the squads one by one.

"And Squad Seven will consist of Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and (Y/N)."

Excitement immediately sparked inside me.

I had honestly been worried I wouldn't end up on the same team as Sasuke.

Though looking at the rest of our team...

Naruto hated Sasuke.

Sakura hated Naruto.

And Sakura wasn't exactly my favourite person either.

This was going to be a disaster.

Naruto immediately shot to his feet.

"Iruka-sensei! Why do I have to be on the same team as a loser like Sasuke?!"

Iruka-sensei sighed. "Sasuke had the highest scores in the class, while yours were the lowest."

The classroom burst into laughter.

"Just don't get in my way, loser," Sasuke muttered.

I smacked the back of his head.

"Ow!" He glared at me. "What was that for?!"

"Don't be mean."

Sakura instantly stood up. "Don't hit Sasuke!"

I crossed my arms. "I'm his family. I can do whatever I want."
