Chapter 11

Nandini's pov

Once manik left I went into the room that manik had built in his cabin. I placed arohi on the bed and gave her toys, I sat beside her cause if I layed down I would fall a sleep.

She played with her toys and threw some of her toys at me making me chuckle, I played with her and she was starting to get sleepy so I gave her the bottle as she layed in my lap and started chewing on the bottle,

"Arohi dont chew on it" I said and she sucked on the bottle. "You know baby, this is not fair at all, you have chosen daddy's side, what about mumma huh" i caressed her cheek and she giggled

"She will be on daddy's side, but dont worry we are both on your side" manik said walking in and I looked down being embarrassed

"You are so cute nandini" he said and arohi threw her bottle moving her arms to manik as he grabbed her in his arms, "lets go home, you look tired" he said and the fact that he actually noticed was so cute

i got up following him to the car, we reached home and he was right I was actually very tired, like if I closed my eyes I would have fell a sleep right away but it was only 6 pm and I had to make food.

"Nandini where are you going" he asked as I walked towards the kitchen, "to make food" I said

"There is no need, Ill order something, sirf arohi kai liye bana lo", "Manik Bahar lai rehenai do mai bana lungi" I said and he pulled my arm

"Darling I can see how exhausted you are, lets go up get changed, by then the food will come and we can eat, its just us today no one is home, cabir and navya are out" he said and I looked up in his eyes

"You need to learn to express such things nandini, if you are tired tell me, if you are angry tell me, do you understand that, you have to talk to me about everything" he said and I nodded "I know, thank you for being so understanding" I said

We walked up to our room and I saw a crib on my side so I looked at Manik, "thank you" I said and he smiled, "its not needed nandu" he put arohi on the bed and I changed her diaper while manik went to the bathroom to change and freshen up.

I got freshen up after and when I came out I saw arohi on manik's stomach, "pa" she was blabbering

"Yes just like that say papa" he said and I smiled at their bonding, "ill go make her food" I said and manik nodded

I got to the kitchen and put my hair in a lose bun, I was making cerelac and little fruit sandwich for her with strawberries. I was so lost in the food that when I turned around I saw manik standing with arohi making me jump a little

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry darling" he said caressing my shoulder, "no, im sorry that I wasn't paying attention" I said and he gave arohi to me

"She was starting to cry so I brought her downstairs" he said, "that's okay, im almost done" I said turning the burner off. The door bell rang, "its our food" he said and walked to the door.

I finished cutting strawberries in a hear shape for her, "you wanna eat upstairs" he yelled from the living room, "yes please" I said and I heard his footsteps going up, I grabbed arohi's plate and had her on one hip as I walked up.

We were eating, I was feeding arohi as she sat on my lap. "What's your favourite colour nandini" he asked

"White and ivory, yours" I asked, "black and red, whats your least favourite fruit", "ahh I hate bananas they make so so nauseous, I can't" I almost gagged even thinking about it and manik laughed

"Its not funny manik", "sure isn't baby Haina aru" he said holding her hand as she giggled

"So arohi doesn't like banana's either" he asked, "she loves them especially crushed ones and I kid you not I gag feeding her every time, no gross I don't wanna talk about it" I said and he laughed

"Okay okay, I hate apples and you already know that. Umm whats your hobby", "I like sketching and novels I love novels,", "umm I like playing basketball and music" he said and smiles

"Ahhhh arohi" I couldn't help but raise my voice cause she yanked my hair, "arohi let go baby it hurts" I said and she giggled because manik giggled, but it hurt when she pulled harder

"Arohi" I said, "aru jaan let go of Mumma's hair" he said smiling and she yanked it more, "arohi baby please let go of Mumma's hair" he caressed her cheek and I tried getting my hair out of her and she let me after a while

"Arohi this is not good" I said scolding her and she giggled making me smile, i fed her strawberries while we finished our food

"Nandini", I hummed putting the last strawberry in her mouth, "when I asked if you could fall in love and you said yes, I wanted to say yes too" he admitted and my heart skipped a beat as I look up at him

"Sach meh" I asked and he nodded. "Ji sach meh, arohi baby this is not how you eat" he said and I looked down at arohi who put the strawberry on there foot

"She is full I guess" I said grabbing our empty plates. "Stay with her, ill wash this" I said and he nodded

I washed the dishes, closed the lights in the living room and walked up to our room. Manik was walking around with arohi in his arms talking to her, his phone rang when I walked in

"Give her to me" I said and he answered his phone giving me arohi, I wiped her mouth with water and put her in her night dress, changed her diaper bringing her back to the bed.

"No I cannot, now cut the fucking call and do not call back" he yelled on the phone and arohi made a face, "no baby, papa is just talking on the phone he is not angry" I said and she looked at me

"Im sorry bacha" he said hearing me I guess, "manik its okay, you are okay right" I asked cause he looked exhausted not physically but emotionally. He just gave me a tiny smile.

Arohi's eyes widened at manik, so I handed her to manik, his face lit up as soon as arohi moved her hands  on manik's face. I brushed and put my hair up in a lose bun while manik played with arohi, I looked at the time and saw it was 10.

"Manik no more playing with her its 10 she should ahh been a sleep by now" I said and his face fell, "aru mumma ko bolo na to let you stay up" he said and arohi looked at me.

"Absolutely not arohi dont even look at me like that" I said picking up arohi and started walking around with her rocking her in my arms. She fell a sleep faster than she ever has.

I sat beside manik with her still in my arms, "you know I may just be your friend but I can listen, im a great listener mr malhotra" I said and he moved closer to me still laying on his stomach. He put his head in my lap  while I had arohi on my shoulder
