George Weasley POV
As the Hogwarts Express left Kings Cross station I couldn't help but wonder what adventures lay in store for us this year. Sunlight poured in through the train window enveloping the coach in a soft orange hue.
Bloody hell this is so boring. It sure is going to be a long ride.
I shifted my gaze to my twin in the hope that he had something stimulating planned for this incredibly dull train journey. Fred did have a plan, he always had a plan. He intended to have his tongue stuck down Angelina Johnson's throat! Arghhhh! Merlin! We are in a public setting! Of course, it did not bother Fred. He sure was enjoying himself. I suppressed a smirk.
Then my eyes landed on her. She sat right across me at the window staring at the distant mountains. Her face glowed in the sunlight. I stared at her large almond eyes. Gosh, they were beautiful! Her lips were plump, the perfect shade of pink, and each time she smiled a dimple appeared on her left cheek. I could kiss those lips forever. If she ever let me. She casually ran her fingers through her long straight blonde hair her gaze still fixed outside. It looks so soft, I am sure it smells incredible too.
Stop staring! I tried to look away but within the next second my eyes were back on her. She had a red blouse paired with a black skirt. My eyes scanned her entire body in an attempt to memorize her shape. When she stretched out her long legs towards me, my heart almost did a backflip. Damn, Katie Bell is truly a sight to behold!
Fred shifted his body weight almost causing Johnson to lay flat on her back, their lips still glued together. Johnson is flexible!
'Get a room!' Lee Jordan yelled from across the coach.
The seat beside Katie was now empty. There was my chance! I almost stood up... Bloody hell!
I forgot! Perched under my left arm was Maya! She had fallen asleep with her nose buried in a thick book. I immediately returned my buttocks to the seat and prayed that my movement would not wake her up. I took one last look at the empty seat beside Katie and let out a sigh before shifting my attention to the girl sleeping in my arms. I tried to pull out the heavy book from her palms but she had a firm grip around it. Let go of it, you nerd! She finally let go of her book and wrapped her arms around my torso while muttering spells in her sleep. I carefully moved a strand of her unruly curly hair from her face and placed it behind her ear which caused her to mutter 'Crucio'. Yikes! I planted a kiss on the top of her head and pulled her close.
"Awwww", I looked up and saw Katie Bell smiling at me.
I smiled back. It took a moment before I realized. "No, no. No. No" I almost yelled. "There is nothing between us! Maya is just my best friend! She is like Ginny! No, no no no not in a million years!" I sounded desperate.
Katie looked confused at first. Then a large smile spread across her face. She shifted her attention back to the gigantic mountains passing by us. Only this time her lips were curled upwards, a tiny bit, with her dimple threatening to emerge. Was it my imagination or did Katie Bell just let out a sigh of relief?
