Maya POV
Never in my life had I felt so conflicted. On the surface, I was just an average injured Quidditch player but internally there was a war brewing. My life was close to perfect before it began to crumble. I was in a loving committed relationship with the hottest Slytherin in school. Girls swooned at the sight of Adrian Pucey and he for some unfathomable reason had shown interest in me! A nerdy Ravenclaw who orgasmed at the sight of books. Of course, George Weasley had to ruin it all! What were best friends for? I loved the idiot all my life and he never reciprocated my feelings. The moment I started shagging a hot Slytherin George Weasley falls in love! With me! None of it makes any sense! While I am on the topic of shagging... Where the fuck are my clothes at?
I stared down at my exposed breasts. Adrian's mouth was making its way down my neck towards the curve of my left breast. As much as the sight of his tongue on my bare skin aroused me, it just didn't feel right.
I am going to kill Weasley! "Adrian... I am not in the mood today." I stammered.
Adrian looked up at me like I had asked him for a kidney.
"Woah, that's a first. Do you feel alright darling? Do you need me to take you to the infirmary?"
"No, that won't be necessary. I am just tired." I lied.
"I am so sorry. I shouldn't have...You need rest..." He trailed off. He wrapped me up in my blanket and put on his boxers before cuddling me in his arms and showering my forehead with kisses.
"Seeing you fall off that broom was the worst moment in my life. I felt like I had lost you. I am not ready to lose you, Maya. I need you in my life now and forever. I love you."
"I love you too," I murmured pretending to fall asleep. Adrian, it is. It has to be. George was right I should listen to my 'big fat brain' and focus on my lovely boyfriend. I love Adrian... I love Adrian...
The next morning I felt a lot more confident that I had made the right decision. I woke up with a big smile and peppered Adrian's entire body with kisses. We took a quick shower together and headed out for a long day of classes.
Everything was going bloody brilliant till I crashed into George shortly after lunch.
"I see you decided to listen to me this time." He smirked. His smirk wasn't fooling anyone. I could see the distress in his eyes. He wore Charlie's old school uniform and had his tattered brown backpack swung around his shoulder. Was he always this good-looking? His long fingers toyed with his backpack strap.
"I did listen to my big fat brain." And not my heart.
"I am sorry I shouldn't have been so rude to you. Anyway, I tried to fix your broken broom." He revealed my broom which lay hidden behind his back. I jumped with joy seeing it in one piece.
"I polished it. I hope you like the color."
"It's gorgeous. Thank you." I ran my fingers over the wood taking in the polish odor. I loved the pungent smell of paint and polish. I gently wrapped my fingers around the shaft. I felt I had lost you forever. I would kiss you right now if it wasn't for this tall moron staring down at me. I yanked my darling broom trying to get it out of George's clasp. But he maintained a stronghold of it and leaned into me as I pulled.
He towered over me. "Next time you pull a falling stunt I WILL turn your broom to dust. That cute little butt of yours will never ride anything again. Do I make myself clear?" George asked through gritted teeth.
I displayed my middle finger. "You don't tell me what to do."
"We will see about that. So what's with your thing for Oliver?" He retreaded.
