ADRIEN POV:

As we were walking to her house hand in hand, I noticed that she closed the hoodie around her face even more.

I bent down to her height, and gave her a confused glare, "Why are you hiding your pretty face, Purrincess?" I questioned in a flirty voice.

I could practically see the blush come through the hoodie, as I realized what I said, and immediately started blushing in embarrassment.

"I-I mean! Why are you covering your face so much?" I asked all flustered.

Then I came to a realization, which caused my eyes to widen, and stand straight back up.

"D-do I...do I make you uncomfortable?" I nervously asked.

She suddenly stopped walking and loosened the drawstring around her hoodie, revealing her shocked face.

"W-what? Why would you ever think that?" She nervously asked.

I looked down to my feet, "Well, you seem to be, well, um...how should I say it? On edge around me..." I admitted.

She let go of my hand and took a step in front of me, looking me dead in the eye, "You really think that?" She asked, a bit pissed.

"W-well-"

"Look! If I was uncomfortable with you, I would've told you to leave a long time ago! Sure, you can be a bit oblivious to some  boundaries! But you respect me and I appreciate that! Not a lot of guys in my life do that for me, show me an ounce of fucking respect, so for you to respect me is such a big deal! And in return, I respect you and allow myself to be vulnerable! Why would I ever feel uncomfortable to someone who makes my life fucking better!"

After her trauma dump, I was frozen in shock.

I make her life better? Am I really that important to her?

I realized that as she was ranting, tears started to stream down her face as she looked at me with a disappointed glare.

"I thought you knew this! Did I have to make it any more obvious?" She questioned in a desperate tone.

I just stood there with my mouth slightly parted. I wanted to say something, anything, but nothing happened.

She just wiped the tears off of her face, and looked at me once more, "Look, I appreciate the gesture, but I'm gonna go home now...alone." She gloomily stated.

She started to walk away, losing the protection that the umbrella gave her and was immediately drenched by the rain.

Without another word, she left me standing in the rain, alone...

Well, not completely alone...

MARINETTE POV:

As I walked off in the rain, My clothes were soaked, my hair was dripping, and my face was wet. Even though my face was wet with rain, I could also feel tears streaming down as well.

I hated that I treated Chat that way! But it just happened! All of these pent up emotions came up, and I couldn't stuff them back down!

"Marinette? Are you oka-"

"What the hell do you think Tikki? I just told off my crush and now he for sure hates me! I-I didn't mean to say anything, I-I just said it, and now-and now..." As I explained, I started to hyperventilate and shiver.

"M-Marinette! Get inside! Your gonna be sick!" I heard my mom shout in worry.

Tikki quickly dove back into my purse, as I shakily made my way back inside. Once I was inside the bakery, I felt the temperature almost instantly increased and I felt warmth run through my body.
