Chapter 4: Smile (Part 3)

I giggled softly and turned as Zoro, Luffy, Sabo, and Ace were poking my cheek gently, but as Luffy flicked me I shot up and glared, "What the heck?!" I blink surprised and cover myself as I yell, "Get out before I beat you to next Tuesday!" They quickly ran out, but stayed at the door. 

I sigh softly as Makino comes in, "Afternoon..." I rub my eyes, "Afternoon?..." She nodded and led me to get ready for the day. "You slept all morning. It's normal considering how long you stayed up, but I asked them to wake you up so we could get started." I hopped up and ran to the bathroom, "Ok!" She laughed softly as she grabbed a simple dress, my black leather shoes, my crown, and my scarf as I bathed and got ready. It took twenty minutes before I was ready. 

I hum and skip as we made our way to the dinning room to make everything ready. I clap my hands and stand on a chair. They laughed softly at me as I started commanding them and some of the staff. "Ok! I want the streamers to be hearts! The table runner will be yellow with those black spots like his hat with that weird shape he always has in the middle! He has a separate table for gifts!"

I look to the side and nod, "The food will be grilled fish and that weird rice dish he called onigiri! The cake will be replaced with a pudding sherry wine trifle. Zeff, Sanji-san, and I will work on the food. While the rest of you work on the decorations! I already drew stilts! You just need to trace, cut, and put it together!" 

I hopped down, "I'll help with the trifle now so it's ready for tomorrow while you guys start on the decorations, ok?" They agreed so I went with Zeff and Sanji to the kitchen to help make his dish. It was a little difficult because I wanted to make it myself with their assistance. I would leave the actual food to them tomorrow.

I snacked on some things as we baked and tried it out until we got it right. I plop down covered in ingredients giggling, "I could make much, so I made enough for just Law, while you made enough for everyone else. I also helped with the drinks and sides that needed to be cold!" I kick my feet softly, "... I want to see him grin... I've seen small smiles, but I want to see a wide smile..."

I look up as he sets a cup of tea in front of me, "Do you think he will?" Zeff started on dinner, "I don't think that boy knows how to properly express himself, but... I think he'll smile at you..." I giggle, "I hope so! I'm making him something else for when he leaves! It'll be a hat like his, but one that grows to fit like my crown! I'm making a locket with a manastone heart in the middle. On the inside will be a picture of just the two of us!"

I hop up as Makino comes in, "Thanks for the help and tea Zeff! See you tomorrow!" He waved as Sanji kissed my hand and wished me a good night before getting back to work. I hummed softly, "Is my outfit ready?" She nods, "A black dress with orange and yellow spots. A yellow petticoat and black flats. You'll wear your hair up in a half ponytail and the clip he gave you for your birthday along with earrings and a necklace you got from Sabo and Luffy." I look down a little nervous, "... Do you think it'll overwhelm him?... What if he doesn't like it?..." She pats my head, "He will. I promise." I nod softly as we left for her to help me clean up before changing and heading to work on the decorations with them as we waited for dinner. 

After everything was set and made Makino and Shanks put them up neatly and we had dinner. Everyone was happy with my excitement for tomorrow and teased me about it. I was blushing a light red the entire time, but smiling softly. After dinner I got ready for bed and then ran around my room making sure everything was ready before laying in bed. I don't know how or why, but exhaustion took over and I fell asleep rather quickly.

I mumble and take a soft inhale as Makino wakes me up. I groggily got up and washed up, but blinked surprised and grinned at the dress. "So pretty!" She started my hair as I slipped on my petticoat and shoes. She put mascara on, but that was it for make up. "Don't wear anything except mascara and lip makeup if you want. Your skin is pretty enough." I blush lightly, "Alright..." I slipped on my tiara and scarf before we headed out. 

I paced back and forth nervously in the front as I waited for Law. I look up embarrassed, "Aunt Makino, are you sure I look ok? The dress is defining my chest... Won't he find it weird?" She laughed softly, "You look beautiful. He'll be stunned." I flinch and grow panicky as his carriage pulls up, "W-why am I so nervous?!" She just laughed as I saw them get out. Law wore a slightly fancier suit, but still had his hat and spots.
