Chapter 5: Birthday (Part 4)

Shakky sighed, "... There's something else from me as well..." I skipped back and opened it, but flushed a bright red and closed it. "T-thanks Shakky... Ace took it and opened it as I chased him, "No! Stop it!" He pulled out a stuffed bunny, but this one had spots on it like Law's hat. I snatched it and kicked him in the shin, "I hate you!" Ace grabbed his shin groaning and hopping up and down, "Don't be like that! I didn't know!"

I hid in my scarf and held it in my lap, "... I'm too old for stuffed animals... So it's embarrassing..." Sabo asked, "Wait... The bunny part or the spots like Tora-o's hat part?" I tilted my head then blinked and burned brighter, "I thought they were just spots!" Law was looking away hiding his expression, so I grew panicky, "I-I didn't know! You're not mad, right?!" He cleared his throat, "No... I'm not mad..." I sighed and smiled, "Good!"

I held it in my lap as Garp handed me his present, which was a black cloak with a hood, also made of silkweed. It's used as a sort of armor, but it's rainproof and temperature reflective. Meaning if it's super hot that it becomes cooler and if it's cold it becomes warmer. "You can wear it while training at any time of the year!" I hugged it, "Thanks Grandpa Garp!"

I looked up at Anthoni who gave me a box of a few books on emergency first aid that anyone can perform with mana. I also got a book on different common herbs and medicines. "You're a little clumsy and bravado... I figured you could use these as guidance." I smiled and started looking at the herbal one, "Thank you Anthoni-san!"

I looked up as Shanks and Makino motioned for me to follow. I neatly stacked everything and placed it in my ring before hopping up. I held hands with Law as we all walked outside. I looked up confused at the sight of a bunch of different bunnies hopping around munching on hay then a person bowing to us. "This is all of them, Your Grace." I looked over and leaned down, "They're so cute!"

I leaned down and watched them a bit, but my eyes glowed as one of them looked at me. I tilted my head confused, but looked up and yelped as the black bunny with golden eyes hopped onto me. I giggled as it nuzzled my cheek then licked me. I looked up as Shanks thanked the man and paid him as Makino smiled and helped me up, "Why don't you name him?" I looked down at him and hummed, "Gengi! 'Cause his eyes are Golden!"

I looked down and giggled as he licked my chest, but hissed as he bit. "Oww..." I looked surprised as a mark appeared on my chest. The same one as the chair and flask. I looked a little scared as he smiled at me. Gengi is a nice name. I looked up panicky, "Hey! What's going on?! Why and how is my bunny talking right now?!" Makino stroked my back as Shanks petted my head, "Very few people in this world are allowed familiars... Gengi has now become your familiar... We'll give you a book and talk to you about it later, why don't you go back and play while we clean up." I looked at him and nodded as I carried him.

Nami and Nojiko ran up, "Cute! Can we pet him?!" I looked down and stroked his head, "Is that ok Gengi?" He looked up. Don't touch my tail and be gentle. I looked up and nodded, "Don't touch his tail and be gentle." I looked at Law as he was stunned in place. I tilted my head, "Law?" I handed Genji to Nami and walked up. I placed my hand on his forehead, "You ok?" He came out of it and nodded, "Y-Yeah..."

I held his hand, "... Let's go play a bit?" He intertwined our fingers, so I blushed softly and hid in the scarf. I looked over as Gengi asked, Is that the one you wish to mate with? I looked at Gengi a little confused, "What? What are you talking about?" He looked down. ... Perhaps you are too young for me to ask that. I looked at Law, "Gengi wants to know if you're the one I want to mate with. What does that m-"

Law flushed a bright red and slipped away as Zoro and Sabo dragged me away. Ace glared at Gengi, "Shanks! We need a new rabbit!" I puffed my cheek, "No! I like Gengi!" I looked at Law worried, "Are you mad?" He shook his head then nodded as I asked, "Promise?" I hold out my arms towards Nami, "I want to hold him... Come here Gengi." I blinked surprised as he disappeared then appeared in my arms. You can call me from anywhere. We are now connected.

I nuzzled him, "I see! Wanna tell me what you'll need?" He nodded. Your mana is all I need to feed myself however... Hay or fruits are fine too. I nodded softly and petted him as we sat down in the drawing room. I looked at Law, who was being dragged out by Sabo and Ace. I held out my hand, "Wait!" I looked down as Sabo motioned, "We'll be right back, promise!"

I nuzzled Gengi, "... I won't see Law for six years... They can see him in five years... That's not fair..." Zoro sighed softly, "Iri... They'll be right back. You can hang out with him when he comes back." Nami rubbed my back, "You like him a lot, huh?" I nodded and wiped my tears, "He's very important to me... I don't want him to go..." Nami looked at Nojiko who nodded and asked, "Is he someone you want to be with forever?" I looked to the side, "... Well... Yes. I want to be with all of them and you guys..." Zoro huffed and Nami and Nojiko sighed softly.

I set Gengi down and ran to Law, "You can't leave my side anymore! You'll stay the night with Ace and you'll spend tomorrow with just me, ok?!" He looked at Ace, who sighed heavily and nodded, so he hugged me, "Alright... I'll talk to my dad..." I grinned and nodded, "I wanna spend time with you as much as possible..." The four of them jerked as I continued, "... Before you leave me."
