Chapter 6: Endings (Part 1)

I ran up to Law as he got off and hugged him. He huffed and stroked my hair. "Not even letting me into the house first, h-" He froze as I shook, "Don't g-" I sniffled and hugged him more, "I'm not letting you go until you leave in a few hours... So..." He slipped his hand in mine, "... Alright." I sniffled and held his hand as we walked into the house where our friends were, "... They're going to miss you too, so... I'll get you forty-five minutes to myself right before you leave... I'll give you your presents then... They'll get thirty minutes before me and we'll all hang out for the first two hours..." He stroked my hand, "Alright..."

Ace, Sabo, Zoro, and Luffy greeted us. Luffy jumped on Law, who was unable to dodge this time, "Monkey-ya... Please refrain fr-" He huffed as Luffy cried, "I'm gonna miss you Tora-o!" Zoro and Sabo pried Luffy off as Ace pointed to our game room where we've all hung out for the past three years. I refused to let go, so Law, Gengi, and I sat on the couch as they sat on the other and we played a duo game.

Law and I easily won every one of the games as it was the first two hours. I very hesitantly let go for them to spend time together. I waved as I was soon left all alone. I looked down and made my way to my room. I cleaned everything up and double checked his presents. A hat like his now, but it was made of Silkweed, Vilek Cotton, and Threb Leaves. It was rain proof, temperature reflectant, adjustable size, and the spots had a tracker, a few barriers, and few healing that weren't all that strong because it wasn't made with crystals, but crystal fiber. The spots would only have a certain amount, but would take a day to appear again.

I then made a locket similar to the one I got, but it only activated with mine and his mana. It's a rounded rectangle locket. On the front was a large heart shaped pure mana crystal, but one of the purest forms and the most deep presence, it allowed him to know my well being.

Once opened it revealed a picture of Law and I holding hands and smiling at each other as we sat in my garden. To the right was a recorder that had to be set using mana as well. It was me saying to him, "I'll miss you while you're away, Law. Also, Law... I love you too. I'm not entirely sure what it means, but from what I've read and seen... I love you Law and I want to be with you. I'll be with you soon, so make sure to wait for me. Yours, Iris."

I made the chain adjustable and both the locket and chain rust-proof and resilient enough to not be cut by a mana sword. It was the thing I began working on for the past six months. The message was whenever I found out he was leaving. I packed the hat and locket in a box and tied it up before sitting on my couch. I look up, "I suppose... This is what it'll be like for those years..." I reach down and open the locket to see a picture of Law. I held it to my forehead and calmed down as I felt his presence.

I laid down and nuzzled Gengi as he hopped onto the couch. I asked him teary eyed, "I don't know if I can go the four years all alone after receiving so much love and attention for so long..." He licked my tears, You won't be alone. The monkey child will still visit you and your parents will still be here. I sniffle, "... Luffy's going to be busy a lot... Law won't be able to send me letters. Ace, Zoro, and Sabo say they will, but it'll be like once a month..." I cry softly, "I can see Nami, Nojiko, Grandpa, and Shakky... M-Maybe I can make friends in high society, but that place..." I curled deeper as my voice broke, "It's so fake!"

He nuzzles me, "I'll be here forever. I won't ever leave you." I nuzzle closer, "Ok... Good..." I slowly got up as there was a knock, "Iris-ya?" I wipe my tears and open the door. He looked away as I motioned him in. He walked in and went to my couch as I closed the door. I sat down next to him and immediately held his hand and sniffled. He huffed as he leaned his head on mine, "... Iris-ya..." His voice shook, "I'll miss you... I want to be with you..." He whispered, "Please... Don't cry... I know that six years is a long time, but I swear... I won't ever forget you and I won't ever love anyone, but you... I'll wait as long as it takes, so..." He cried softly, "Please... Please don't cry... I would send letters and pictures if I could..."

I whispered shakily, "I'll miss you too Law... I'll miss you a lot..." I pointed to the present sniffling, "Open..." He huffed softly and slipped away as he opened it. He blinked surprised at a hat and chuckled, then blushed at the necklace. "... Law... That's just for us... Only you and I can open it..." He immediately put it on and it adjusted it to his size. His eyes widened and he nuzzled me, "Iris-ya... I love you... I love you..." I hugged him as he held me, "I'll miss you... I love you too Law..."
