Chapter 2: Debut (Part 2)

The three of us talked before Ace, Sabo, and Luffy came out. I tilted my head, but smiled and waved, "We almost ready? Uncle Sengoku is waiting for us at the palace..." Ace hugged me, so I hugged him back, "What's wrong?" I froze as he muttered, "I'll protect you Iri... You don't need someone like him..." I looked down, "Oh... That's why..." I huffed and hugged him, "You know Ace... I consider myself to have a dad..." I giggled, "Uncle Shanks is my dad! Aunt Makino is my mom! It's that simple..." He huffed and stroked my back, "Well... That's fine..."

I looked up as Shanks, Makino, Garp, Corazon, and Anthoni came out. Shanks grabbed my hand, "You ready?" I nodded, so I held his and Makino's hand as we went into the carriage. Law, Shanks, Anthoni, Makino, Ace, and I took the carriage, while Zoro rode with Corazon on one horse, Garp and Luffy on another while Sabo rode with the driver.

I looked up at Shanks, "Hey Uncle Shanks? Why can't they ride in here with us?" He looked down at me, "Well... We have class systems... I guess you know greetings, but not what they associate with. Garp, Sabo, and Luffy are from an Eral family. There's only one Marquesses family, the Trafalgar family. There's four Eral families, Rosinante, Roronoa, Vinsmoke, and Monkey. There are two Viscount families, Marshall and Charlotte. Then finally six Baron families, the Basil, Scratchman, Drake, Capone, Jewelry, and Eustass families."

I tilted my head, "Marshall-san and Zoro are from Viscounts then?" He nodded, "Viscounts and Barons usually serve as the country's guards, mages, or researchers. The Earls and Marquess families serve as royal guards or mages." I looked to the side, "As far as I know Marshall-san and Zoro are the only children... Whose Ace's bodyguard?" Ace smirked, "I get an Earl and best friend!~"

I giggled, "Sabo?" He grinned, "Damn ri-" Makino smacked him upside the head, "Where'd you learn that word?" Shanks turned his head whistling innocently as Ace rubbed his head. I moved next to Law and away from the fight that was about to break out. I looked at Law, who was just staring again. I looked away before leaning and whispering, "I've been wondering for a while now, but... Why're you always staring at me?..." He blushed softly, "I... Didn't realize I was... I just... Want to see your smile more..." I looked away as I giggled.

Law smiled at me, but he burned brighter as Shanks smirked, "You guys are offly close..." I glanced at Law then Shanks before nodding, "I think so..." I tilt my head, "Are we close Law?" He hesitantly nodded, "Yeah... I would say so..." I grinned, "Good!~" I hummed softly and looked out the window, "Hey Shanks... Who was that man that came into the house? I've never seen him before..." 

Ace grabbed my hand and handed me a box, so I blinked and took it as he blushed, "I-I was going to give this to you later, but... I-It's heavy..." I raised a brown, but blinked and smiled as I saw a red-ish orange crystal. I held it to my chest, "Thanks Ace!" He blushed and nodded, "N-now when I'm away you have me n-" He flinched as I asked, "Where're you going?" He cleared his throat, "I-I just mean in general..." He puffed his chest, "I'm a pretty awesome guy. A mana crystal allows a person to put their essence inside! Therefore you can carry around all my awesomeness!"

I burst out laughing as I held it to my chest, "Ace's awesomeness, huh?" He smiled at my laughter. I looked up out the window as Garp said, "We're at the gates now." I smiled as I saw the royal palace, "Hey Uncle Shanks... Do I have to act differently with Uncle Sengoku, here?" He looked at me and shook his head, "Well, you don't and Ace doesn't, but... Everyone else does..." 

I looked down, "Because of the classes?" He nodded, "Right... You guys are big enough now to know proper classes... Iris... This party... It's your d-" Mokino elbowed him, "It's special... There's going to be a lot of people you don't know... So, you don't have to talk to anyone you don't want to." I looked at Shanks, "If there's people I don't know... Why can't Grandma and Grandpa come?... You said Nami can't either... That's why they're coming tomorrow." I tilted my head and asked, "Is it... Because they're not in the classes you mentioned?" He nodded again, "They're in a special class.... Commoners."

I looked down, but looked at Law as he held mine. I giggled as I held his hand back. He jerked as I asked, "So, why're there different classes? What's the difference?" Law sighed as he handed me a small box, "... I got you two things for you..." I set the red crystal on my lap as I opened the box. I smiled at a hair clip. It was an iris flower with a yellow heart gem in the middle. 

I grinned, "Thanks Law! It's so pretty." I hand it to Makino and take out my bow. "Iris!" I tilted my head as I squished between Makino and Shanks. She sighed as she put it in my hair. "... You can't keep moving around. It's dangerous." I puffed my cheek, "Fine... After you put it in I'll move next to Law and won't move anymore." She sighed and adjusted it on my ponytail before I moved back. I took the bow and the crystal.

 I grinned, "Thanks Law! It's so pretty." I hand it to Makino and take out my bow. "Iris!" I tilted my head as I squished between Makino and Shanks. She sighed as she put it in my hair. "... You can't keep moving around. It's dangerous." I puffed my cheek, "Fine... After you put it in I'll move next to Law and won't move anymore." She sighed and adjusted it on my ponytail before I moved back. I took the bow and the crystal.

I tilted my head before nodding. I hummed softly as I traced the ribbon down the middle. It cuts directly making it twice as long. I tried the crystal into a loop of the ribbon. I used magic to secure the crystal into the ribbon, tied the end around my neck, and then adjusted it until I made it into a necklace. I look up to see their awe and shock.

I tilted my head, "What?" Ace asked, "What did you do to cut it like that?" I tilted my head the other way, "I used mana?" I held my finger up, "See?" Shanks, Law, and Anthoni's eyes widened as Shanks asked, "Can you condense it?" I glanced away, but nodded as my finger and a little above glowed a pink and purple like blade. Makino and Ace blinked and stared surprised. I burned brighter and looked away as Shanks began laughing.

I stopped and looked down, but Law once again held my hand. Shanks said in between laughs, "Makino! She's actually able to manipulate her mana to such a degree when she's just twelve!" Makino sighed, "Iris, he's happy not making fun of you... You're doing something that even the majority of adults can't do. Most people either have control or quantity of mana. You have more control than most, but you also have a large mana pool. We know that because of the two colors. You read the book, right?" I nodded, "I didn't realize that's what I was doing though."

I saw people bow, curtsy, and some people saluted as we drove by. I gripped his hand, but relaxed and smiled softly as he rubbed the back of my hand with his thumb. I looked up as Shanks sighs, "Iri... People will bow and curtsey to you... Just smile and nod in response... Only courtesy to one on one or two on two interactions. Ok?" I nodded, but looked at Law as I asked, "Will you stay with me?" Law glanced at them, but Ace interjected, "I'll hang out with you!"

I looked to the side and out the window. They jerked as I mumbled, "So, this is a show not a birthday party..." Law's grip tightened, but I stroked his hand with my thumb. Shanks sighed, "Alright... I'll get out and help Makino down. Followed by Ace, Iris, Anthoni, and Law. Iris, can you do what you learned from Makino? Take Zoro's hand and he'll escort you." I nodded softly, "... Anything else?..." He shook his head, "No, just that. People will greet you, but you can do what you want." I nodded softly again as we arrived at the front gate leading to the main palace.
