Chapter 5: Birthday (Part 3)

After eating the cake I looked down as Sabo handed me a box. "Here's my present!" I opened it to reveal a charm with a clear crystal with blue sparkles in the shape of his tophat. He grinned proudly, "I couldn't do it fast, but with guidance from the others I managed to do this! It has a barrier function too! It absorbs as much damage as a mansion falling on you and lasts five whole minutes! However..." He looks to the side, "It'll only activate when you're in a situation you need it and it's only once..."

He blushed softly as I hugged him and kissed his cheek, "Thanks Sabo!" Zoro handed me a box, "... Happy Birthday Iri..." I opened it to see a clear crystal shaped as a katana with dark and light green sparkles with three green mana crystals along the grip. He blushed and rubbed the back of his head, "I'm not good with anything other than swords, s-" I hugged him and kissed him on the cheek, "Thanks Zoro!~" He huffed, "I'm glad you like it." He got pushed by Luffy, "It's my turn!" I blinked surprised and burst out laughing at the sight of a mana crystal with bright and light shades of red shaped as a rack of meat. I rubbed his head as I hugged him, "Thanks Luffy!" He grins, "Shishishi! Mine's the best!"

He got pushed to the side by Ace, "Iri! Mine next!" I giggled as I saw a rounded rectangular shaped locket with a clear crystal heart in the middle. I opened it, but tilted my head to see there was no picture. He chuckled, "Apply your mana and think of me!" I did as asked and blinked as the right side was a picture of Ace and I running around playing and the left read "For my precious little sister, so she never gets lonely! I love you Iri!" I teared up and hugged him, so he laughed and stroked my hair. "Happy birthday Iri..." I sniffled, "Thanks Ace..." He smiled, "That's not all it does though... Think of everyone one by one..."

I saw Zoro and I training while laughing and sparing with the message, "I'll always be there for you when you need me. -Zoro". Sabo was reading me a book and we were smiling, "Though we may be apart, you're still my sister and family. I love you Iri. -Sabo". I giggled as Luffy and I were digging into some food laughing, "Iri is one of the most important to me! -Luffy". I blushed lightly at Law and I were holding hands walking. He had his soft smile and longing gaze as I grinned and talked to him. "Iris-ya, remember to be safe and careful so you don't get hurt. I love you. Yours Truly, Law."

I teared up and started crying as I rubbed my eyes, "Thanks Ace! I love it so much!" He hugged me as I cried, "I'm glad... It was a group effort though... Once you think of them the crystals change color." I looked down to see that Ace's was red and orange, Zoro's was dark and lighter greens, Sabo's was dark and light blues, Luffy's was bright and light reds, and finally Law's was a deep yellow and gold. He told me to put it on, so I did and when the mana changed to that color I could feel their essence and wellbeing. I cried and held it to my chest as the crystal was red and orange. "Thanks Ace! I'm so happy! This is the best present ever!" He grinned, "I'm glad!"

Law huffed, "... How am I supposed to give her mine after that Ace-ya?..." Ace smirked at Law as I was still hugging him, but I moved and held out my hand sniffling. He sighed softly and walked me to the table where a large box was. He moved it for me to open it, so I blinked, surprised and giggled, but still sniffling. "It's unfortunate, but your scarf is warring down... This one's reinforced and made from silkweed... It's what people use as armor, but it's soft... It adjusts its size up to eleven feet otherwise it has a base length of your height..."

I looked to see four sharper containers that held his pure mana crystals each. "... One has a barrier. One has a heal, another has detection magic, and the last one... You put your mana into it la-" He jumped at it as I applied mana to it. We all blinked surprised at his bright red face and it stopped. "O-Only do it once I'm gone, ok?..." I giggled, "Ok..." He got back up looking away, "I-It's embarrassing..." I giggled, but he froze as I hugged him and stood on my pinky toes to kiss his cheek. "Thanks Law..." He smiled softly, "... Happy birthday Iris-ya..."

I hummed softly as I put the charms on the necklace and then wrapped my new scarf around me. I nuzzled it. "... So soft." Shanks sighed, "... Aren't parents supposed to give the best presents?..." I giggled, but looked down as Nami and Nojiko looked self-conscious. I tilted my head, "What's wrong?" Bell-mère placed a box in front of me, "As commoners we don't have much, but we hope you like it..."

I opened it up and drooled as I saw a few tangerines and then in a separate section was a designer's book on different types of armor and weapons, another was a book on different styles of clothes. I giggled and held the books to my chest, "Thanks! I love your tangerines! I can make that one drink with them in place of strawberries and I can always use more books! I can always create my custom armor that way! I can also read about the fabric techniques to manipulate the scarf better! Thank you!" They grinned at me as Bell-mère smiled, "We're glad you like it."

I looked up as it was Rayleigh and Shakky's turn. They handed me a bag, so I opened it to see a metal container with a lid. Rayleigh looked proud, "Made it myself! Apply your ma-" We blinked surprised as Makino grabbed it and Shanks hit him upside the head. "What're you doing?!" He held his head, "It's a normal flask! Smell it!" Makino opened it to smell something sweet then tasted it. She hummed and gave it to me, "... It's water."

He huffed, "Apply your mana... The water is water, but it turns the flavor of strawberries... Have her taste it if she wants..." I did as asked and the same symbol became engraved in the front. I took a drink and smiled, "It does taste like strawberries!" Makino held out her hand and tasted it. She nodded to Shanks and handed it to me. I ran up and hugged him, "Don't mind them Grandpa Rayleigh! I trust you!" He hugged me and cried comically, "I knew you would Iri!"
