I spent the last month and a half with Rayleigh training three days, while I got to know Lial and his squad more. He hunted together to get used to each other's styles, so we could fight better for the future. We also spent time leveling Mikeal and Minori up for the mission. Lea and Caleb retired and went to their hometown to spread Ethan's ashes. Mikeal made me relax every weekend, so I didn't stress myself. I found a way to make sweets on the road and found myself relaxing in the hot springs. I tried to make my armor better and enhance them and my scarf as well as upgrade Minori and Mikeal's gear. Rayleigh arranged a meeting for all the adamantines tomorrow. It was time for the plan to be put in motion.
During our hunting sessions, I confirmed that I was out of uses for everything except the emergency aid in critical condition and the barrier that will activate from it in case I am. The mana crystals I was given were disintegrated except all the pure mana crystals, the earrings Law made me, the watch, and my necklace. The bracelet he made for me would no longer play his voice and would no longer glow, so I kept it in its container and inside my ring.
Honestly once I realized just how reckless I had been, my heart sank and I fell immensely depressed. There wasn't a second that my necklace didn't glow the different colors. Mikeal was the one who snapped me out of it by proving that even though the functions were gone, I still had their pure mana crystals that were their charms. I engraved their charms into the wrist watch's band, so the only things I wore were the necklace that glowed the color of the person I was thinking of with the pictures, the earrings Law made me, the watch with the map, time, and pictures of my family, and then my scarf that no longer had the crystals at the end.
I adjusted the scarf with Elintene, it would make it adjustable to how I wanted. It was tremendously difficult and took a lot of money and tries to do, but I came up with my ultimate weapon. It was adjustable up to eleven feet and could shrink to just two feet. It was soft and warm, but durable enough to fight against swords and demon beasts. As long as it wasn't a swords master with mana, it would be perfectly fine. I took the containers that used to hold the crystals and applied certain buffs into it. One makes it as sharp and dull as I want. The second one lets me shape it into a katana. The third one lets me transform it into a staff. The last one let me change it into a whip. It really was the perfect weapon for me.
I looked behind me as Minori patted my shoulder, "You ready to meet the top adventurers in the country?" I smirked, "Are you?~ Mr. Nervous legs?" I giggled at his nervous expression then I looked up at Mikeal who huffed, "Let's get this over with... You already know their reactions to us..." I giggled as I pointed, "That's true." I knocked softly on the door, "It's Iris." I heard Rayleigh call out, "Come in." I walked in to see Lial sitting next to Rayleigh then three empty spots on the other side of him.
I looked around the table and saw two women and four other men. One of the women had mage's armor and a staff on the table, while the other had half plate and a longsword on her back. The mage woman had short black bobbed hair with green eyes, the other had brown hair with hazel eyes. The four others had different armor. One had red hair with brown eyes and was in a golden scale mail set with two short swords on the table. Another had brown hair with green eyes and had full plate armor as well as a shield and short sword on the table. The third was hidden in full plate armor with a great ax on his back. The fourth had long green hair and had a long bow on the table, but most importantly, he had long pointed ears.
I rushed over to the man and asked excitedly, "Hey! Are you an elf?! I've never seen one before!" I looked at the one with the great ax, "And you're a beastmen, right?! Right?!" I flushed a bright red as Lial began laughing and the others joined in. I became panicky, "What?! Was I wrong?" The one with the ax took off his helmet and it revealed a tiger's face, "You're right Lial, she's an interesting one." I burned brighter as Mikeal sighed and put his hand on my shoulder and dragged me, "Come on Iris." I looked back, "B-But I want to t-"
