I nod softly and look up as I see an ogre. I apply mana to my blade and slice it up its stomach and chest then hop up and cut off its head as blood spurt and I pulled my hood up to keep me from getting bloodied. I shake as I see my hands and katana dripping blood. I run to the side and throw up. Gengi grew big then went to the ogre and began eating its left over mana.

I breathed heavily and looked and saw the ogre was gone and a green circle gem, about the size of a silver coin remained. I cocked a brow as I put it in my pocket and called out, "Gengi?" He looked at me. Over here. I followed his voice and saw him observing three ogres walking around. You want to?... You should get used to it... I nod softly as I bring out my katana, but use my mana to turn it metal before dashing in and fighting.

I made my way north through the forest fighting any demon I saw and collected the gems. Goblins had clear gems about the size of a marble. Ogres were green gems about the size of a silver coin, then slimes were also white, but depending on the type had a colored center. Earth and water slimes. If the katana wasn't coated with mana then it would've dissolved. I didn't come out scott free either. The ogres bruised me up a little with their clubs, goblins caught me off guard and stabbed my legs, then the slimes singed me. Luckily none of the wounds were too deep.

I decided not to use magic until after I was registered as an adventurer. Gengi healed me with his use of the mana he stored because he insisted on it. When I was in trouble Gengi would hit them with his claws or bite their head off. He ate all their mana and left behind the gems.

It took seven hours instead of five, so it wasn't until five that we hit the city. I put the gems in my ring just in case. I held and played with Gengi as I walked through the town. I giggle as his foot thumps in the air as I scratch his belly. I look up and Gengi sits up as we arrive at the adventurers guild. I set Gengi on my head before walking inside. I look around not minding the stares from the thirty adventurers. I walked up to the reception desk where a man with a Pinwheel on his hat sat talking to another adventurer. One I was familiar with.

My eyes softened and Gengi hopped into my arms as Kia yelled, "I'm telling you that she slaughtered an entire camp of Goblins in seconds! She's fifteen with black hair and multi-colored eyes! S-" He pointed to me and she turned around to see me hugging Gengi and looking down. "Iris-chan!" I blinked surprised as she hugged me, but flinched as she gripped my arms and asked, "Have you seen Yilji, Aldir, or Lyle?!"

I gently took her off of me, "No Kia-san, I haven't. I was too busy making my way to the forest and training. You told me to get used to killing, so I spent the last seven hours hunting in the forest. Vomiting and collecting cores trying to get used to blood. Good luck Kia-san." I walked past her to the desk, "I'm Iris, as you heard, but I'm not registered yet. I would like to register."

He asked as he went into the desk, "You can't join unless you're sixteen and have a recommendation letter." I put my bag down and grabbed the letter and coin, "My friend's mother gave me one. She said to find a man named Ginzo." He looked up and took the letter, "I'm Ginzo, who on e-" His eyes widened and he ripped the letter open and began reading it, so I played with Gengi on the counter.

I looked up and tilted my hand, but paled and covered his mouth as he screamed, "Pri-" My eyes glowed and I whispered, "Shut up! I'm undercover..." He looked to the side and huffed, "Alright... Since it was Bell, I have no choice... I'll get you your card and lodging as you take the test. She wants you to start as a gold, so you h-" I looked behind as someone yelled, "Gold?! A little girl like her?!" I glared at him, "What's wrong with that? Strength is measured by endurance and perseverance. Not age and sex."

I looked at Ginzo as he stood up and glared at them, "Shut your trap you know the rules. You can't fight civilians. Competitions, duels, and tests are the only way to fight someone trying to come into the guild." He smirked, "I'm a copper adventurer, I'll take you on as your test girly." A silver stood up, "I'll be the silver." I looked over as Ginzo looked worried.

They both flinched as I asked, "Do I fight you together and what kind of fighting do you want to do?" I looked at Ginzo as he pointed to the back, "Everyone that wants to come watch can come to the coliseum." He then directed me through halls explaining the system. Copper, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and then Adamantine. To rank up you have to fight through the ranks. The copper guy was the leader and border of silver and the silver guy is the border to gold. However, the leader of the gold is currently at the frontier. As is the majority of the gold, platinum, and adamantine adventurers.
