Everything came back quickly as I realized what had happened. Ultron, he had caught up with us. He had pulled Natasha and I from the jet and knocked us out, but he didn't get the Cradle. I became aware of the cold ground against my body and the cuffs binding my wrists, as I opened my eyes. I scanned everything around me. Ultron stood in front of me messing with something. He hadn't noticed me yet. I glanced next to me to see Natasha still out cold and it would probably stay that way for a while. I slowly sat up trying not to make any noise, but Ultron noticed me.

"Look at you still alive." Ultron turned to face me. "I was kind of hoping I had put you out of your misery on this planet, with these insufferable people." Ultron knelt down in front of me. "You've seen this world make the same mistake over and over and yet you still care for the ants that live on it, why? Why not join me? Imagine, living as a god among the population of perfect humans we could make."

I locked eyes with Ultron. He only knew some of my past. He didn't know everything. The gods of mythology were real and I was worshiped long ago, but I found no joy in it. I just wanted to be viewed the same as everyone. I wanted to be viewed as normal, like I used to be.

"You don't want to be worshiped. You'll get bored of it or they'll turn on you. It's how it always ends." I spoke.

"I doubt that. Humanity knows when it needs to surrender. Knows when it's been beaten by a god." Ultron sighed. "I'm simply offering you the right hand spot, right next to me. We could be gods. To these people. After we kill all of them and start a whole new, flawless, generation of humanity."

My anger boiled, he really knew nothing about me besides the fact I'm immortal. He only knew how history portrayed me. He didn't understand the true extent of what I've lived though. He wanted me to stand above people and rule them, after giving them no choice. I've watched countless empires fall for that very reason.

"I was a god." I spat at Ultron. "I had everything and now I have the closest thing I'll ever get to getting that back. I'll be damned if I let you take that from me. I don't care how many times you kill me, but if you so much as touch one of my family, I will hunt you down and I will make you feel pain, no matter how impossible it is. You mark my words, Ultron. I've met monsters like you, hell I am one of those monsters. It takes a monster to kill another. They all took something from me and I made them pay with their lives. So, if you think for one second, I'd consider joining forces with you, and let you kill my family, then you're even crazier than I thought."

Ultron stepped back from me, his face expressionless as he turned around. Silence fell. Ultron didn't move an inch for a few moments, before a laugh came from him. He turned back to face me.

"It seems as though all these years with these mindless monkeys, has turned you into one of them. I thought you'd be different. Guess I was wrong." Ultron's face turned dark as he grabbed my chin, pulling me off the ground. "If you won't join me and I can't kill you, then I'll destroy you. I'll make you watch all your friends die and I'll make you watch the world burn. Then I'll lock you away in the darkest hole I can find and leave you there for the rest of eternity."

Ultron let go of my chin, sending me flying back into the metal bars behind me. A clang rang through the room, startling Natasha awake. I looked down at her as she sat up, her eyes immediately locking in on Ultron. Ultron's robotic features smiled as he looked at her.

"I wasn't sure you would wake up." Ultron started towards Natasha and smiled down at her. "I hoped you would. I wanted to show you something."

Ultron looked towards me, his eyes emotionless but his face was plastered with a smile. A smile I knew all too well, even on a robot, I looked the same. He had a plan and it wasn't going to be something I liked.

"Why don't we start, now, on what I told you, Jay."

Ultron switched his arm into a blade and looked towards Natasha. No. He was going to kill her. I struggled against my handcuffs as I tried to slip them. I wasn't going to let this happen again. Not ever again. Ultron laughed as he turned to face me.

"You know what? Why don't we start this a different way?"

Ultron moved quickly, grabbing my neck and pulling me off the ground. Natasha began to scream and went to move towards him, but was held back by one of Ultron robotic minions. Ultron placed his blade to my neck and smiled as he dragged it across my throat. Natasha screamed as her knees gave out from under her and tears streamed down her face.

The cut was deep, I could feel the blood pouring from it. I'd pass out soon. My body would need some extra time to heal the wound. I kept my face void of any signs of pain as my vision faded. Ultron only smirked as he sent me flying back into a cell. My body slammed against the wall and fell to the floor. With what little strength I had left, I watched as the robot threw Natasha in the cell with me and the bars slammed shut. Then there was only darkness.
