I sat up quickly, air rushing into my lungs. The world around me was bright causing me to have to blink to focus my eyes. Once they did they locked on a group of people watching me carefully. Some even going as far as to point their weapons at me. I ignored them as the feeling of the rope around my wrist was gone. Panic sent in as I glanced around the room. Very quickly it went away as my eyes locked on my brothers waking up beside me.

Loki slowly awoke, sitting up gingerly and confused. Loki's eyes locked on mine, confusion evident on his face, before he turned to face the people who were probably the ones to save us. Thor however didn't wake up as peacefully. Thor quickly rose to his, scaring the people watching as he stumbled towards a wall. His injuries still hadn't fully healed. Thor slowly turned back around to face us, his eyes quickly looking on an alive and well Loki. He sent me a confused look before his gaze landed on the people, who still hadn't said anything.

"Who the hell are you guys?" Thor asked, breaking the silence.

"We should be asking you that." A man spoke, out of all of them he looked the most like a human.

"I'm Eir," I answered, knowing we'd need more friends than enemies at the moment. "He's Loki." I pointed towards Loki and Thor. "That's Thor." I looked towards the man. "Who are all of you?"

The man took a moment, looking over his team for their answers and deciding if he trusted us or not. A few moments of shared looks between the team passed, before the man stepped forward.

"We're the Guardians of the Galaxy. The name's Peter Quill, or Star-Lord." The man smiled at his name before pointing towards a greenish man with red markings. "Drax." Quill then pointed to a woman with atenas. "Mantis." Quill gestured towards a raccoon looking creature and a tree looking creature. "Rocket and Groot." Quill pointed to the final green woman. "Gamora." Quill looked back towards me. "What happened to your ship?"

I looked towards my brothers who both seemed to be coming to the reality of what just happened. Loki still looked completely lost and Thor looked defeated. I couldn't blame him. He had lost half his people, and his best friend, in less than an hour. He almost lost his brother on top of that. I sent them a pitiful glance, knowing they weren't used to the pain of the death of loved ones.

"We were attacked." I glanced towards Quill. "Half our people were slaughtered. The other half MIA. We were lucky to survive ourselves."

"Thanos." Gamora mumbled under her breath, catching my attention. I hadn't mentioned Thanos.

"Would you like anything?" Mantis spoke, covering Gamora's words.

"No we're fi-" I went to answer, only to be cut off by Thor.

"Some food would be nice." Thor turned to Loki. "How about you, brother?"

Loki snapped out of the trance he had been in since he awoke and shook his head no. Mantis hummed before walking off to grab some food from Thor. I looked to Loki who was still very confused on how he was still alive. I didn't have the time to destroy the memory of his death from his mind. It was something I normally did when I brought the dead back to life. It helped them cope with the idea of coming back to life. Loki remembered everything up to the second Thanos snapped his neck. It had to be terrifying to know.

I rose to my feet and walked towards Loki silently, as Thor branched off into a deeper conversation about what happened with the Guardians of the Galaxy. I placed a hand on Loki's shoulder causing him to look up at me. I softly smiled seeing fear in his eyes. He may be a thousand years old, but I could still see the terrified child within him. Odin had failed him as a father. Just like he had with me and Ela. Thor was the only child he tried to be a good father for, but still ended up failing in the end. Thor didn't see it that way, though.
