We reached Titan in minutes, Quill quickly landed and drew our attention to a ship. It was still operational, but it looked as though it had made a crash landing only moments ago. That could be Thanos, or someone who works for Thanos. Quill took charge and laid out the plan.

"Drax, Mantis and I will go in and fight whoever's in there head on." Quill looked at me. "I want you to wait a few minutes, then come in after us and get the jump on the guys, to get the final ones down, got it?"

I hummed and nodded, getting a look of appreciation from Quill. I wasn't going to wait any longer than a minute. This was Thanos we were talking about. This was my chance to get back at him. I failed the first time and I wasn't willing to do it a second time.

Quill, Drax and Mantis left, after reminding me one last time to wait a few minutes, before coming in as back up. Something I wasn't going to listen to no matter what. I'd take getting yelled at later, if I even did. Who knows, maybe me coming in early will save their lives from Thanos's grasp.

Maybe I'd finally fulfill my purpose. I was the goddess of life after all and I had done a pretty shitty job the past few millennia. Saving people from death and cutting short the lives of those who were evil, was what I was supposed to do. Especially now that Ela was gone and no one could take up her job.

It was something that was instilled in me since I was a child. Just like Loki was told that frost giants were the enemies and he grew to hate them, to hate himself. I followed the same path. I was told that those who have fulfilled their purpose deserve to die and be granted an afterlife. To me now, that was bullshit.

We never fully fulfill our purpose, we only become unuseful and then killed off. No one deserved that. One day to be doing what you've always done and the next to have it ripped away from you just because you're no longer useful.

Odin's rules could go to hell. I was doing this my way for now on and part of me believes that Odin always wanted that from me. He wanted me to find my own path, instead of following behind Ela, like a faithful servant blinded by loyalty. He wanted me to become my own person and put a whole new definition to who I am and who I'm supposed to be. So, that's what I was going to do and it all started with Thanos.

Looking at the clock and seeing that a minute passed, I moved quietly out of the ship. I would follow one thing Quill said to do-get the jump on them. As I got closer, I could hear shots being fired and yelling fill the air.

I moved quietly into the ship as the firing stopped and the voices stayed. Something about two of the voices seemed oddly familiar, but I pushed it from my mind as I reached my vantage point above everyone.

I scanned the scene laid out before me. They were at a stand still. Quill holding one of them by gun point. Mantis standing behind Quill and Drax being pinned down by a face I never expected to see here. My eyes quickly moved to the other man and everything pieced together.

The voices I recognised belonged to two of my old friends. The other person who was with them I had seen on the news two years ago. I needed to move now or Quill would kill them out of rage for his stolen girlfriend.

"Quill, put the gun down!" I called from my spot above, causing him to look up, along with the others. "They're allies."

I jumped from my spot, landing on the ground in between my friend and Quill. I avoided my friend as I turned to Quill, gesturing to his gun and when he didn't move it I sent him an annoyed look, to which he slowly let go of the teenager.

"Thank you." I muttered and went to say more but was cut off by that very familiar voice.

"Is this where you've been for the past 3 years?" His voice was semi-angered as I turned to face him.

"For one of the years, the others were spent avoiding your tracking technology." I answered as he glared me down, before his face turned soft.

"You didn't think to send postcards?" He played, as he smiled. "I thought you'd brag about something like this, Samurai."

"I'm not like you, Stark." I laughed as I waved to the other familiar face in the background. "Hey, Strange."

He gave me a small smile before turning his gaze back to the Guardians, still hesitant of their presence. I turned to the Guardians and looked back down at Drax, seeing their uneasiness as well.

"Right, where are my manners?" I turned to the Guardians and pointed to each one respectively. "That's Mantis, Quill, and Drax." I then turned to the others. "This is Tony Stark, Doctor Strange, and..." I drew a blank as I stared at the kid. "Sorry, kid, I don't know your name."

"Peter." He answered and I smiled.

"And Peter." I turned to everyone, smiling slightly because now we actually stood a chance against Thanos. "So I'm assuming we're all here to kick Thanos's ass, right?"
