A few months passed and everything seemed to work out. The Asgardians held no grudges. Loki, Thor and I grew closer as a family. Valkyrie and I caught up on everything that had happened since the last we saw of each other. Heimdall, well, Heimdall was Heimdall. Silently brooding and serious, but I could tell he was happy with everything. Then there was Banner, who I had to catch up on a lot. When he was the Hulk, he didn't remember everything, one of those things being, that I was unkillable. He seemed to take it pretty well, though. He asked about the other Avengers, mainly Natasha, but seemed to realize fairly quickly that I didn't know any more than what he did, so he began to avoid the topic.

Thor had become the rightful king of Asgard. Even though I was the oldest, but to be honest, I didn't want the throne anymore. Ruling became unappealing to me. Plus, Thor would be a better ruler than me any day. Thor set course to Earth, but it would take a while, thanks to the ship we had. It wasn't meant for fast travel and without gateways, we'd have to travel to Earth slowly and day by day.

I smiled softly, finding Thor and Loki side by side staring out one of the windows. I moved to Thor's side, putting him between Loki and I, placing a hand on his shoulder for a moment to bring attention to my presence. I glanced towards Loki who seemed to be deep in thought about something. We stood in silence for a while, just taking in the space outside. If it was anyone else, it would've been an awkward silence but the silence we had was peaceful.

"Do you really think it's a good idea to go back to Earth?" Loki spoke, breaking the silence.

"Yes, of course." Thor answered not seeming to understand Loki's true intent behind the question. "The people of Earth love me. I'm very popular."

"Let me rephrase that." Loki started again to get his point across. "Do you really think it's a good idea to bring me back to Earth?"

"Probably not, to be honest." Thor looked towards Loki. "I wouldn't worry, brother. I feel like everything's going to work out fine."

I smiled towards Loki, reassuringly. He softly smiled thankfully. His worries seemed to melt away as he looked back out the window, but soon they returned as his eyes locked on something. Thor's face contorted as well. I followed their gazes, my eyes quickly locking in on the threat before us.

"Holy shit." I mumbled softly, at the massive ship before us.

There was no way they were friendly. If they were they would've announced themselves. Screaming began to fill the ship. I glanced towards Thor and Loki, all of us exchanging a glance, before bolting out of the room. Our people were in danger and we needed to save them.

The halls were full of panicked people as we made our way to the main room of the ship. We came to a quick stop seeing the state of the room. Bodies, the bodies of our people, littered the floor and flames filled the ship as explosions went off.

We moved quickly into action. I owed these people everything. It was time I repaid that gratitude. I'd fight side by side with my brothers till the day I die, if that ever comes. This was just another bump in the road, we'd handle it with ease.
