"Bruce gave him a sedative." Rhodey spoke, breaking the silence that fell over the room as he entered. "He's gonna probably be out for the rest of the day."
"You guys take care of him and I'll bring him a Xorrian elixir when I come back." Danvers headed for the door with a look of determination on her face.
"Where are you going?" Rogers asked as she continued towards the door.
"To kill Thanos." Danvers answered unfazed as she left and headed towards the room Thor had stayed in.
Natasha and Rogers shared a look before Natasha headed after Danvers. I followed behind Natasha, if Danvers was gonna kill Thanos, I wanted in. Rogers and Rhodey followed behind me.
"Hey." Natasha called to Danvers, causing her to turn and face her. "You, know we usually work as a team here and, between you and I, morale's a little fragile."
"We realize up there is more you're territory, but this is our fight, too." Rogers stepped in and was followed by Rhodey.
"You even know where he is?" Rhodey asked, leaning against the door frame.
"I know people who might." Danvers answered and went to say more but was cut off.
"Don't bother." Nebula spoke as she and Rocket entered the room. "I can tell you where Thanos is."
A silence fell over the room as everyone tensed. Even Thor, who had seemed to be lost in his mind, had managed to pick up on what Nebula said. This was our shot. I glanced toward Rocket, looking for any signs that this was all true. He nodded towards me, confirming Nebula's words. We could get the stones back. We could bring everyone back. We could bring Loki back.
"Thanos spent a long time trying to perfect me and when he worked, he talked about his Great Plan. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him. I'd ask, where would we go once his plan was complete? His answer was always the same." Nebula turned to face us as she took steps towards the table between us. "To the Garden."
"That's cute." Rhodey crossed his arms as he leaned against the wall. "Thanos has a retirement plan."
"So, where is he?" Rogers asked, walking up to the table Nebula stood at.
"When Thanos snapped his fingers," Rocket started as he climbed onto the table and clicked a button projecting the universe for us to see. "Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions. No one's ever seen anything like it. Until two days ago," The image moved to a planet far away from Earth and one I had never been before. "On this planet."
"Thanos is there." Nebula confirmed Rocket's words.
"Thanos used the stones again." Natasha mumbled as she stepped towards the image.
"We'd be going in short handed, you know?" Bruce spoke uneasily at the idea of fighting Thanos again.
"Look, he's still got the stones, so-" Rhodey started but was cut off.
"So, let's get 'em." Danvers cut off Rhodey, as she looked over everyone. "Use them to bring everyone back."
"Just like that?" Bruce questioned Danvers's plan.
"Yeah, just like that." Rogers nodded looking towards Danvers.
"Even if there's a small chance that we could undo this," Natasha looked up from the projected image. "I mean, we owe it to everyone that's not in this room to try."
"If we do this, how do we know it's gonna end any differently than it did before?" Bruce questioned still not willing to go through with the plan.
"Because before you didn't have me." Danvers snapped back, causing me to look towards her.
She sure was confident in herself. I couldn't blame her. I could feel the power radiating off of her. She had powers equal to one of the stones, but not all six. She may be able to hold her own against one or two, but I doubt she'd be able to take all six by herself.
"Hey, new girl? Everybody in this room is about that superhero life." Rhodey looked towards Danvers, annoyed at her confidence. "If you don't mind my asking, where the hell have you been all this time?"
"There are alot of other planets in the universe and unfortunately, they didn't have you guys." Danvers answered, causing Rhodey to look to Rogers.
Rogers only nodded understanding Danvers's point. My eyes went to Thor as he rose to his feet and stepped heavily towards Danvers. Danvers turned slowly to face him and the two stood staring at each other for a moment. I knew what Thor was doing, he was assessing her. Deciding if she was someone to trust. Thor extended his hand, for his hammer, next to her head. The hammer flew into his hand. I looked at it stunned for a moment. Eitir had made Thor Stormbreaker, the strongest weapon in Asgard, probably the world. Danvers didn't even move as Thor placed the hammer in between his hands and rested it on the ground. Thor locked eyes with Danvers before nodding as she smirked.
"I like this one." Thor looked towards Rogers, knowing his input was important to the decision.
"Let's go get this son of a bitch." Rogers nodded looking over all of us.
