The ride was short and filled with a few remarks about being in space and everything else Clint and Natasha never thought they'd do. I didn't speak much. I was mainly lost in thought, thinking about that time I had been to Vormir.

Ela and I were on the run. It was one of our first solo missions and we bit off more than we could chew. In a panic we fled to Vormir. Moments later the people we were sent to capture caught up to us. Nearly killed me and Ela. Hemidall saved our asses, he used the Bi-frost to get us out of there before anything could become final.

I shook the thoughts from my mind as we landed on Vormir. Rising to my feet I looked out the window at the landscape before us. It was quiet. Too quiet. Nothing moved on the dull purple world before us. The dominion of death couldn't even begin to describe Vormir.

"Wow." Clint's voice was soft as he looked at the planet in amazement. "Under different circumstances this would be totally awesome."

I was the first out of the ship, the cool air hitting my skin. It hadn't changed at all in thousands of years. Still cold and dead silent. I pressed a button to make the time suit collapse into just the bracelet. I mentaly thanked Tony for making my suit better insulated, than the previous.

I glanced back towards Natasha and Clint as the Guardian's ship shrunk and Clint picked up the now action figure sized ship. My gaze then shifted to the mountain not too far from us. There was no doubt that the stone would be up there.

"Up there." I pointed to the mountain as I gained Natasha and Clint's attention. "The stone will be up there."

"How do you know?" Natasha asked, looking at the mountain.

"I just have a feeling." I answered, an unsettling feeling filling my body.

"Good enough for me." Clint shrugged as he started towards the mountain.

There was something really off about this planet. It didn't look as though anyone had visited it in centuries. I followed alongside Natasha as she followed Clint. The terrain was uneven as we had to walk around pounds and up dunes.

By the time we had reached the mountain Clint and Natasha were already starting to slow their pace. I summoned a flask of water to my hand and extended it to Clint. He looked at it for a second before taking it, muttering a small thank you. After taking a few sips he handed it to Natasha and started up the mountain, following a skinny makeshift trail.

The ground below us grew smaller as we followed behind Clint. A pit grew in my stomach as we continued higher and higher. There was silence, besides the heavy breathing of both Natasha and Clint. We rounded the side of the mountain, the path becoming even skinnier. One missed step and one of us would get tumbling down the side.

Then the silence was gone and replaced with the sound of rocks cracking above us. I glanced up seeing a coupled rocks break apart from the side of the mountain and tumble towards us. Natasha and Clint went to move but I stopped them.

"Don't move." I called as I summoned a force field around us. "You're fine, I promise."

I locked eyes with the two hoping they'd stay put and not move. Since they did have magic, they couldn't see the barrier I had created. To them there was nothing. If they moved they'd leave the barrier and then get hurt, but they trusted me, I could see it in their eyes.

The rocks ricochet off of the barrier as Clint and Natasha watched in confusion as the rocks did so. Clint looked at me in amazement with a smile on his face, once the rocks stopped and I lowered the force field.

"Why did you use that in Morocco?" Clint faked being mad.

"I couldn't." I answered as I gestured for him to continue forward. "My powers were taken away."

"What she means to say is," Natasha smiled deviously as she followed behind Clint as he started down the path again. "Is that she got celestially grounded."

Clint laughed as I rolled my eyes at Natasha, a small smile falling on my face. The silence took over once again as we continued up the mountain. It didn't take too much longer before the incline stopped and we paused walking for a few moments.

"I bet the raccoon didn't have to climb a mountain." Natasha sighed trying to catch her breath as I filled the flask for her.

"Technically he's not a raccoon, ya know?" Clint glanced over the ground below us as Natasha handed him the flask.

"Oh, whatever." Natasha turned to face the world below. "He eats garbage."

I tuned out of their conversation as I sensed a presence coming towards us. A voice filled that air causing Natasha and Clint to catch on as well. We moved in harmony, all of us drawing our weapons as a dark cloaked figure drifted towards us.

"Welcome." It spoke, its face hidden from us. "Natasha, daughter of Ivan." Whatever it was it knew who Natasha was and probably knew who we all were. "Clint, son of Edith." Neither Clint or Natasha shifted at their names. "Eir, daughter of Frigga."

"Who are you?" I asked as I stepped forward keeping my sword trained on the figure.

"Consider me a guide to you and to all who seek the Soul Stone." It answered, not giving me the answer I truly wanted.

"You tell us where it is," Natasha spoke as her eyes watched the figure closely. "Then we'll be on our way."

"Oh, liebchen." I stiffened as the figure spoke German and stepped towards us. "If only it were that easy."

Stepping into the light, I quickly recognised the figure. Red Skull. Steve had fought him back in world war ll. Everyone thought he was dead but he was here all along and now he was our only shot of getting the Soul Stone. I lowered my sword, we needed him alive. I didn't want to leave him alive but we needed that stone at whatever it cost.
