The brothers' faces were covered in pain. They truly cared for such an insufferable man. That was a part of his cruelty. He knew exactly how to weasel his way into your heart and in the end he would rip it to shreds. I didn't focus on the two for long before I returned a message to Ela.

Indeed it has.

I looked towards the open field, waiting for her arrival. She'd be here any moment. As I watched the sky turned dark and thunder rumbled. Thor. Always the dramatic one. Loki looked towards his brother concerned.

"Brother." Loki spoke softly, as Thor's breathing grew heavy.

"This was your doing." Thor looked from Loki to me, hatred in his eyes. "Both of you did this."

Before he could act on his anger, I felt it. Her presence. I glanced back over the meadow to see a black portal forming. Finally after all this time. Green filled the portal as the brothers started towards it.

I followed, using my magic to change into my Asgardian armor. I glanced over the brothers seeing they had switched to their Asgardian clothes as well. A small laugh escaped my lips. They really thought they could take us on and win. Asgard was our home and we had a right to it.

Ela stepped out from the portal, causing a smile to fall on my face. She hadn't aged a day. She glanced over the brothers, before her eyes fell on me. A small smirk fell on her face as the portal closed behind her.

"So he's gone." She spoke, her voice still the same it had always been. "That's a shame. I would've liked to have seen that."

"You must be Hela." Thor brought her attention back to him. "I'm Thor, son of Odin."

"Really? You don't look like him." Ela looked over Thor and looked over to Loki.

"Perhaps we can come to an arrangement." Loki spoke.

"You sound like him." Ela pointed towards him a small smirk on her face as she locked eyes with me.

They're stupid, aren't they?

Her words caused a small laugh to escape my lips as I walked to her side and shook my head. I glanced over the brothers. My eyes stopped on Thor. His face still showed signs of betrayal. I hadn't betrayed him. Maybe his father, but him, no. I answered Ela.

It'll be easier to take the throne from them.

Where's the fun in that?

Ela answered quickly and smiled at me. She turned her attention back to the brothers and paused for a moment. She had changed since the last time I saw her, but in the end she was still the same old Ela. The one that would do anything for her people, even if it meant killing the princes.

"Kneel." Ela broke the silence.

"Beg your pardon?" Loki looked at her confused.

"Kneel." Ela repeated as she summoned a sword to her hand. "Before your queens."

"I don't think so." Thor stepped towards us.

A second passed before he threw his hammer at Ela. She easily caught the hammer, using very little strength to hold it back. Thor looked dumbfounded as he tried to put more force behind the hammer.

"It's not possible." Thor spoke, his hand still outstretched controlling his hammer.

"Darling, you have no idea what's possible." Ela smirked.

She began to crush the hammer with her hand, causing electricity to begin to fill the air. Once she destroyed it there would be an explosion, probably. With Thor's power still behind it, it still had thunder coursing through it. The hammer, reaching its breaking point, began to crumble. I moved quickly, using my powers to create a barrier between the lighting explosion and the two of us.

Once it cleared, I lowered the barrier. Thor and Loki looked on in horror and confusion, at the crumpled remains of Thor's trusty hammer. Ela sent me a small nod as she used her magic to turn her hair into her helmet. There was no getting out of this without a fight. I used my powers to summon my swords to my hands and Ela did the same.

"Bring us back!" Loki looked up at the sky, calling upon Hiemdell.

"No!" Thor tried to stop his brother, but it was too late.

The bifrost opened, carrying the brothers away. Ela and I moved quickly jumping in behind them. We'd finally return home, home sweet home, and take our rightful place at the golden throne, that was always promised to be ours. Thor looked down at us, his eyes locking on mine.

"Loki!" He called to his brother.

Loki looked down at us before deciding on throwing a dagger at us. Ela grabbed it easily and tossed it back at Loki, causing him to fall out of the bifrost. She moved ahead of me and exchanged a few punches with Thor, before ultimately knocking him out of the bifrost as well.

Ela smiled down at me as we reached the end of the bifrost. My feet landed on the ground of the observatory, a place I hadn't been since the day of our banishment. My eyes glanced around, landing on three people. Two of them drew their weapons, in hesitation.

"Who are you? What have you done with Thor?" A man stepped towards us, raising his weapon.

Before he could do anything Ela sent two of her daggers into the man, causing the other to rush towards her. She quickly took care of that man as well. I looked towards Ela, shocked at her ease of killing innocents. She started towards the final man.

"I'm Hela, that's Eir."

I followed after her, after one last glance at the dead men. She had to do it. They would've attacked us anyway. She was doing what was right for Asgard. That was our purpose. Always has been. The man glanced over Ela and I, before kneeling to the ground and dropping the broom in his hand.

"I'm just a janitor."

"You look like a smart boy with good survival instincts." The man kept his head down as Ela reached his side. "How would you like a job?"

Ela walked past the man and stood at the opening to the observatory. I followed her gaze as she looked over Asgard's buildings. Nothing had changed since the last time we were here. Home sweet home at last. Years of waiting and this was finally it. Ela and I were back side by side and we were home. Our eternal torture was finally over.
