I sat up quickly at the feeling of a hand on my head. Bloody hell, how long was I out? I glanced around my eyes landing on Quill, Drax and Mantis, but no Gamora. Thanos had taken her, I could see it on Quill's face. I cursed under my breath. Thanos had escaped, with the stone and whatever information Gamora had. At this point our graves were being dug for us.

"Now what do we do?" I asked as I rose to my feet, my body already healed from Thanos's attack.

"We hunt him down and find Gamora." Quill answered determinedly.

"Then we kill him." Drax added, anger boiling in his body.

"I don't know how you plan to do that." I looked towards Quill. "I doubt you have any idea where he is."

"First off, you've been here all of 5 minutes, you have no clue how we work." Quill locked eyes with me. "Second, wasn't it your brother that said there's stones on Earth? So, we'll head there. It's the only place we know he'll be."

I hummed and nodded, breaking eye contact with Quill. It was his ship, I couldn't go against him, otherwise he'd just leave me behind and I made a promise to Loki, that I'm not breaking. Unless I just killed all of the Guardians, then I could just take the ship but I had no clue how to work it. So, dealing with these dumbasses it is.

Reaching the ship everyone branched off. Drax and Mantis going off to do something and Quill going to the pilot's seat to start our course to Earth. I found my way to one of the seats behind Quill. He glanced back at me for a moment before going back to what he was doing.

With the ship on its course to Earth the Guardians relaxed. Mantis had offered me a plate of food a while ago, but I never moved to eat it. My mind was too busy to eat. I was going back to Earth. Somewhere I was so actively trying to avoid, but this might be my only shot at Thanos, I couldn't let it go. Both the time stone and the mind stone were on Earth, meaning that was Thanos's next stop. He didn't know where the soul stone was, no one did, so that was off the table.

Going back to Earth would open an old wound. Heimdall probably sent Banner back to Earth, meaning he'd get in contact with the others. Also meaning he'd have to catch the others up to speed on where he's been and that most likely meant he'd share things about me the others don't know. Though, it is Banner. He doesn't tend to tell other people's secrets.

Even if he didn't say anything, I had promised the others an explanation when they found out. They never got that explanation due to me fleeing. Like I always do. All I ever do is run from my problems. Maybe it was better if I told them. It would get everything off my chest and I seemed to be turning over a new leaf now.

My eyes watched the stars pass us by as Quill returned to his seat and Drax followed him. I wonder how Thor and Loki were doing? I looked towards the ring on my finger. I had promised, I'd keep him updated, didn't I? I thought for a moment before sending a message to Loki.

Thanos got away with the stone, we're heading to Earth now, in hopes of catching up to him. How's everything going with you?

A second passed, then a minute. Maybe he was just busy. Maybe he removed the ring and missed my message. Or maybe something bad happened. Maybe Thanos found them and killed them. Maybe they never made it to Nidavellir. My mind raced with the possibilities, but soon it was calmed as Loki's response came.

We've made it to Nidavellir. The dwarves were attacked by Thanos and forced to make his gauntlet. Eitri's the only survivor.

A silence followed for a few moments as Loki's words sank in. All the dwarves were gone, leaving only Eitri behind. Pity filled my thoughts. Eitri was a hard ass, but he was one of the kindest people out there. That is, if you were on his good side. Eitri was also the most talented of all the dwarves. Which explains why Thanos's gauntlet works so well. Soon Thanos would regret leaving Eitri alive. Eitri would make the strongest weapon anyone on Asgard had ever seen, just so he could kill Thanos for what he did to his kind.

Eitri's gonna make Thor the strongest design he has and that will hopefully kill Thanos. Once we have it we'll be on our way to Earth as well. Eitri sends his regards, by the way. I would say what he said word for word, but he had some pretty colorful words for you.

I smiled softly at Loki's playful tone. Of course he had colorful words for me. Eitri would've killed me if I came with Thor and Loki. He said so himself last time I saw him. I believe his exact words were, "If I ever see you again, I will grind your bones to a pulp and pour you into a mold of my own design." Eitri would never follow through on it back then, but now he couldn't no matter how hard he tried.

Tell Eitri, 'I miss him too'. Stay safe, brother, and don't let Thor do something stupid, like he always does.

I'll try, but there's no promises on that last part. See you soon, sister.

Loki answered, a laugh hidden in his voice. I shook my head softly and returned to looking out the window as silence filled the air again and it stayed like that for a while, before Mantis rushed into the room. She spoke quickly, causing Quill to rise to his feet.

"Nebula said to tell you that Thanos is on his way to Titan and that we need to meet her there."

Quill didn't hesitate before setting the ship into overdrive and heading towards Titan. We'd be there in a few minutes at this pace. Quill barked orders for us to prepare for a battle. Drax headed for his room as Mantis watched worriedly out the window. I rose to my feet quickly heading into the common room and switched into my Asgardian armor, once again. I looked towards Drax who strapped daggers to his side, a look of vengeance on his face. We'd be facing Thanos again, a lot sooner than I thought. Which means we could stop him from getting the other stones. We still had a chance. We could do this, we had to do it.
