I started down the halls quickly, following the signs for stairs. After running for a few minutes everything around me began to shake. What the hell was going on? I slipped in my earpiece and turned it on. I started back down the hallways as I spoke.

"Anyone want to tell me what the hell is going on up there?"

"There's robots everywhere and Sokovia is flying into the sky." Clint's voice came through the earpiece.

"Jesus, I leave for five minutes and everything goes to shit."

I mumbled as I reached a door. I pushed through it and was quickly greeted by screaming and the bright sun. My eyes took a second to focus but when they did I was greeted by a war zone. Robots fly around chasing civilians.

"Cap, you have incoming." Tony's voice came through the ea

"Incoming already came. Stark just focuses on getting Sokovia back on the ground." Rogers responded and paused for a brief moment. "The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off."

I laughed slightly at Rogers's final sentence, before drawing my swords and beginning to take down robots one by one. This time I was different, I fought differently. I was no longer holding back. I was no longer trying to hide my secret from the team. If they found out, they found out. Nothing would change that.

I took down robot after robot, not caring if I got struck in the process. That's what scared the king all those years ago. I had no care about myself. I was pretty much immortal and unkillable thanks to my magic, back then. Now, he had given me a curse that amplified that. Now I could use myself as a shield. I didn't have to rely on others to cover my back every now and then. I could destroy armies by myself.

Pain surged through my side as I cursed at the robot who had shot me. I tossed a knife into its head as I ducked into a building to allow my side a moment to heal. I went to close the door, only for a robot to push it open.

I ducked out of the way and returned to the door to close it fully. Once I accomplished that, I turned to the robot as it came for me. I cursed as it slammed into me, sending me into a wall and driving its blade into my side. I shoved my sword into its neck as it fell to the ground, dragging me with it.

My heart pounded and my breathing was heavy as I pushed the robot off of me, pulling its blade from my side in the process. I grumbled to myself and rose to my feet. I glanced out a window as I placed a hand to my side. Pain coated my body. It was a feeling I grew used to over the years.

"How aren't you dead?"

My head snapped towards the voice as it spoke. Clint and Wanda sat in the corner of the room. Clint looked at me shocked as my eyes locked on Wanda and my anger grew. Why wasn't he attacking her? She made us turn on eachother. She made Banner go awol. She manipulated us into seeing things, horrible things. Clint traced my glance to Wanda and sighed.

"She's with us, now are you going to answer me or not?"

"Long story."

I mumbled and removed my hand from my side as I felt the wound heal. Clint stared at my side in shock, before looking down. He stayed quiet for a few moments, and I was about to head back out of the building and continue fighting, but his words stopped me.

"Back when Loki had me mind controlled, we fought and ever since then I've been having these dreams, that I had stabbed you." Clint locked eyes with me. "I really did stab you, didn't I?"

I opened my mouth to speak, but couldn't find the words to comfort the emotions on his face. I nodded softly and he looked down, absorbing my answer. I sighed softly, before walking to him and placing a hand on his shoulder.
