Chapter Forty

MEREDITH'S heart was suddenly filled with overflowing emotions that she finds it hard to form any coherent thought. Her mouth opens and closes to say the words back. But before she could utter a single word, Vengeance beats her to it. Magaan nitong inilapat ang hintuturo sa kanyang mga labi.

"It's okay. I completely understand."

"Y-you do?"

"Mahirap sabihin ang isang bagay na hindi mo naman nararamdaman. At least, not yet."

Gusto niya sanang kontrahin ang sinabi nito. Pero muli siya nitong inunahan sa pagsasalita na para bang nag-aalala ito sa anumang salitang lalabas sa bibig niya.

"I'll make you fall in love with me."

Napangiti si Meredith. Gusto niyang buksan para rito ang nilalaman ng kanyang dibdib pero hindi niya mapigilang ma-excite sa salitang binitiwan nito na tila puno ng pangako. And it's not bad. Sasamantalahin na niya ang pagkakataong maligawan ng isang Vengeance Liu. Gusto niyang makita kung hanggang saan ang effort na gagawin nito para sa kanya. Because the younger version of him in the past was somewhat cold, reserve, a puzzle, but very, very territorial. He never once told her he loves her but she sort of feel like he cares. At nang araw na dukutin siya nito at dalhin sa resthouse, he simply told her he was obsessed with her. How does one reacts to that? Obsession is an irrational feeling bordering on acute insanity.

And now he's saying the things she wanted to hear. Words that will assure her fragile heart. Some might say words are meaningless. But not to her, especially when it comes from Vengeance. His words are very precious. And when he utters them, she knew that he meant it. Hindi kasi ito ang tipo ng lalaking maboladas. 

Inabot niya ang mukha nito at hinagod ang pisngi.

"Make me fall in love with you, Vengeance Liu. Make it hard and deep that your name will be the last thing I will whisper on my deathbed."

"I promised."

"I would gladly look forward to it."

"We can start with this," hinugot nito ang sarili at muling ibinaon sa loob niya.

She gasped, bit her lower lip, and smiled.

"I will make love to you hard and deep that you will keep on moaning my name over and over again until you reach heaven."

"Oh, gad. Vengeance!"

He thrusts deep into her, making her head spin in so much pleasure that she did moan his name over and over again until her senses exploded in a kaleidoscope of colors. Her back arched off from the bed as the rippling sensation of overwhelming pleasure washed over her. Her body shivered from the aftershock.

Pumailalim ang isang braso ni Vengeance sa kanyang likuran at kinabig siya nito bago inihiga ang sarili at kinabig siyang paibabaw sa sariling katawan.

She sighed in bliss when she pressed herself closer on his chest. His arms wrapped around her like a protective cocoon. Sa ganoong ayos na siya nakatulog. With a smile of contentment because his cock was still buried on her sheath.

Nang magising siya kinabukasan ay mag-isa na lamang siya sa kama. Saglit siyang nakiramdam kung nasaan ang kanyang asawa.

"I don't really have a choice, do I?"

Natigilan si Meredith nang marinig ang boses ni Vengeance. Sa terrace nagmumula ang boses nito kaya bahagya niyang iniangat ang ulo para tanawin ito. Bahagya pa siyang nasinag ng liwanag na nagmumula roon dahil nasa east side ang suite na kinaroroonan nila. Nakita niyang nakadikit sa tenga nito ang cellphone.
