Part 7 - SCHOOL (STEVE JEALOUS?)

As you were getting ready to leave Eddie's place you realized you were wearing the same clothes as yesterday. Shit. You were already running late so running home to change before school wasn't going to be an option. Eddie was fixing his rings as noticed you in deep thought as he interrupted "hey y/n are you ready?" "Um would you happen to have a shirt or something that I could borrow? I'd hate to be the new kid that wore the same clothes twice in a row" you said half kidding half not. Eddie nodded and ran to his room, he came out and tossed a shirt to you, as you unfolded it you noticed it said "BLACK SABBATH" across the front. "Oh, and if you want I can lend you my jacket too? It's supposed to be cold today but I don't mind" he said. You blushed and even though you declined his offer, he made you wear his jacket.

Once you two pulled up to school he put the van in park and looked at you "we've arrive my lady, your class awaits" as he gestured to the Hawkins High school doors. Alright let's do this.

Eddie hopped out of the van first, walking around to your side and opening your door for you. As he gestured his arm out he gave you a big toothy grin. "Thanks Eddie" you brushed. This is it. You were about to enter High school with Eddie Munson, no turning back now. With Eddie by your side you walked in.

"Oh my god" Robin whispered as she tapped on Steve's shoulder, Steve turned around with shock on his face. "What the hell?" He said. "Hey guys" You smiled at both of them and wave a small wave as you walked past to get to your locker. "I'll meet up with you later, okay Y/N?" Eddie said as he patted your shoulder and flashed a smile at you before disappearing into the hallway.

It was finally lunch time but you spent the night at Eddie's so you didn't bring a lunch, luckily you always keep a $20 bill in your bag for emergencies. "Hey Y/N!" Steve called you over to their table, before you went you grabbed a few things from the vending machine. Once you reached your seat beside Steve you opened up your bag of chips.

"Soooo... how was last night with Eddie?" Robin asked. Steve just sat there staring at you studying your reaction. Trying to avoid the question you ask "SO! Where's Nancy today?" "She's working the paper" Robin replied. "Why are you avoiding the question, Y/N?" Steve asked more annoyed than before. You looked down at your chips hoping to find answers but all you found were broken chips. You sighed .. here we go "Eddie showed me around town last night and then we headed to his place to watch a few movies, it was late by the time we finished to I slept on his couch hence why I'm wearing his clothes today".
Steve didn't look pleased with your answer but you didn't give him any other choice but to believe you. You looked around for Eddie but couldn't find him, hm I wonder where he is?

Time skip to after school. It was a Friday afternoon so it's a weekend.

After school you couldn't find Eddie yet again, so you decided to head home. You didn't live very far from Eddie so you thought maybe you'd head to his place to see if he's home later.
You started walking home, pulling your cassette player out of your bag you searched through your few tapes, you found your favourite, Iron Maiden, you plopped it into the cassette player and pressed play.
You finally reached your home, "Mom are you home?" No answer, no surprise. You tossed your bag on the kitchen counter and saw money and a note on the fridge that read:

"WORKING DOUBLE SHIFTS, WONT SEE YOU FOR THE NEXT LITTLE WHILE. HERES MONEY FOR FOOD.

BE GOOD XOXO

LOVE, MOM"

"Thanks mom" you whispered as you grabbed the cash. You headed upstairs to take a shower. Grabbing a towel and heading to the bathroom you almost completely forgot that you barely ate anything today. You made note of heading out for food afterwards, hey maybe Eddie would wanna join you thought.. if you could find him that is.

Once out of the shower you got yourself dressed, ripped jeans and Eddies band shirt that he leant you will do. You headed back downstairs grabbing your bag, with your hair still damp you started walking to Eddie's, it wasn't a far walk from you, maybe 10-15 minutes at most. Once you turned the corner to the trailer park you saw Eddie's van parked out front of his place. You walked over but before you could knock Eddie swung the door open "Y/N! To what do I owe this pleasure to my lady?" He smiled. "Um- hey .. I- I don't want to sound annoying or clingy because I'm totally not- but I jus- I just wanted to know if you wanted to grab a bite to eat with me?" You asked in hopes he'd explain where he went today. "That sounds good. Yea! Uh let me just grab my keys okay?" He said as he turned around.
