Part 48 - SONG FOR Y/N

"How does... uhhhh... spaghetti sound for dinner?" Eddie asked as he looked through the cupboards.
"That sounds good to me" you said as you sat on the kitchen counter. Eddie looked over at Wayne who was still focused on the tv "Hey uncle Wayne, are you home for dinner?" He asked. Wayne looked over at the boy "Hm? Oh um no" he looked at his watch "Shit. I've got to get going to work so it's just you two kids, but thank you" he said as he got up and went to his room. Eddie looked back at you and shrugged his shoulders as he grabbed the pasta.
"Do you want any help?" You asked.
"No no, just sit" he said with a smile.

Wayne came out of his room and grab himself some snacks for his lunch "Alright, I'm headin' out now so you two behave yourselves" he chuckled as he headed out the door.
"We'll try" Eddie smirked.

You watched as Eddie prepared dinner for the two of you, his tongue poked out as he focused on plating the dinner. You would have never thought Eddie was the type to cook you dinner but you were pleasantly surprised. Once done he looked at you and smiled "Dinner is served" he kissed the tip of your nose and opened the fridge door "Beer?" He asked.
"Sure" you smiled. Eddie cracked open both bottles and passed you yours, the two of you walked over to the coffee table in the living room and sat down. You took a sip of your beer and placed it down in front of where you sat. Eddie paused "Wait, don't eat yet!" He said as he turned around and headed back into the kitchen. You watched as he frantically looked for something, he turned back around and smiled. Eddie walked back as he held a single tapered candle along with a candle holder and placed it between the two of you, you watched as he lit the flame with his lighter. He quickly walked over to the overhead light and flicked it off "That's better" he said as he returned to you. Eddie held his beer up to yours "To you... staying in Hawkins" he smiled as the two of you clinked bottles.

"Okay, now we can eat" he chuckled. You twirled the spaghetti onto your fork and took a bite, you hummed and closed your eyes. The food Eddie made was usually simple but always delicious, you were definitely a lucky lady.
"Eddie this is really good" you said as you took another bite.
"Thank you" he said as he smiled. The two of you continued to eat the rest of your dinner, Eddie put his fork down when he was finished and grabbed your hand as he looked at you.
"Y/N... I have to show you something" he said softly. You placed your fork down "Right now?" You asked. Eddie nodded and pulled you up back onto your feet, he led the way back into his room and you sat on his bed. He looked very anxious
"I um... I uh wrote you something" he said as he played with his long fluffy hair. You smiled "You what?"

Eddie grabbed his guitar and sat down beside you, he started strumming and playing a beautiful tune. The song sounded very familiar but you wanted to wait until he was done to say anything. You were practically in tears as Eddie confessed his true love for you through the song he sang, it was short and beautiful and not what you had expected him to start playing. When he was done he looked up at you, a tear had fallen down your cheek
"Are you okay?" He asked as he put his guitar to the side. You wiped the tear away "Yea I'm good, that was just... wow. No one's ever done anything even remotely close for me" you sniffled. Eddie pulled you in for a hug and started rubbing your back
"I love you Eddie, thank you... and I love the song so much" you said quietly into his shoulder.
"I love you too Y/N..." he whispered before pulling back to look into your eyes "...and I'm very glad you like the song, it's taken me awhile to write and I was nervous as fuck before just now" he chuckled.
"Well, it was beautiful. That was the one you hummed the other day wasn't it?" you smiled.
Eddie looked down as he played with your hand "Yea, that's the one" he said.

Eddie pulled you in for another hug "What would you like to do for the rest of the night?" He asked.
You pondered for a few moments "Hmmm... how about we stay in, watch a movie, and get high?" You said.
"This is why I love you" Eddie giggled before brining you in for a kiss "Come on, Let's head to video cellar!" He said as he jumped up and held his hand out for yours. Grabbing his hand you headed for the door and into his van.

Once inside, Eddie put the van into gear and took off. As you drove he placed his hand on your thigh and quickly flashed a smile, you placed your left hand over his and played with his rings for the rest of the drive. When you arrived at the video store Eddie put the van in park and you both hopped out. You were the first to head into the video store as Eddie followed behind you
"Hey" Steve said as he greeted the two of you.
You waved back and smiled "Hey, how's it going?" You said.
"I'm good I'm good, how are you?" He asked.
"I'm good too, we're just here to grab a movie for the night" you smiled as you headed for the thriller section with Eddie.

Eddie came up to you holding a movie in his hand "How about this one?" He asked.
You looked down at the movie and didn't recognize it "Yea sure why not" you said. The decision was made and you headed back to the counter to pay. Once you paid you said your goodbyes to Steve and headed back to Eddie's van.

When you arrived back at Eddie's place the two of you headed into his room. You sat on the bed as you watched him set up the movie, deciding to get comfortable you decided to take off your jeans and get under the blanket before he noticed. Eddie pressed play on the movie and crawled into bed to sit beside you, you watched as the movie started playing.

Eddie lifted his arm and pulled you into his chest as he laid the both of you down. You hummed say you adjusted yourself to get even comfier. You felt Eddie's arm lower as it wrapped around your waist "I could stay like this forever" he said.
"Me too" you hummed "Me. Too"

———Eddie POV———

The movie continued to play as you laid there with Y/N on your chest, you watched her torso rise and fall with every breath she took. She was breathtaking. You couldn't help but think about your future with her. Graduation... That house.. A ring... children even, you had never really given the future much thought but with her was easy, you knew exactly what you wanted and when. You just hoped that she would say yes to all of it.

"Hey, what are you thinking about?" She said as she looked up at you.
"Hm? Oh nothing just the next DND campaign" you smiled before kissing her forehead.
"Hey.. how about some of that weed now?" She asked. You smirked "Sure".

———Y/N's POV———

After you and Eddie got high you laid back down beside each other in bed. You felt a warm fuzzy feeling enter your body as it reached its high.
"Eddie?" You said.
"Yea babe?" He replied.
"Can we sleep naked tonight?" You rolled over to face him. A smile stretched over his face
"Hell yea" he said as he sat up and took his shirt off. You did the same with yours and took off your underwear. Eddie wiggled out of his jeans and threw them on the floor with the rest of your guys' clothes. You then laid under the blanket and cuddled up in your usual cuddle position, his warm skin felt amazing against yours. Within a matter of minutes you felt your eyes getting heavier "I might fall asleep" you hummed. You felt his hand rub up and down your back.
"Go to sleep sweetheart" he said softly before humming your favourite lullaby.
