Part 30 - UM EDDIE....?

The last few days were spent studying with Eddie, who was such a good learner (only when you were teaching him though) he was really starting to get the hang of things. In all honestly though you were beyond stressed. Stressed about helping Eddie pass his classes all while trying to pass your own classes too.

You stayed home from school today, 'it must be a flu or something' you thought to yourself. You were in the middle of trying to eat lunch when the phone rang, you walked over the landline and picked up.
"Hello?" You said as you swallowed your food.
"There you are sweetheart, how come you aren't at school today?" Eddie asked.
"I'm not really feeling well so I stayed home today" you said softly.
"Can I come over later?" He asked.
You paused for a moment, you were pretty sure your mom was working a double tonight "I'd like that Eddie, I'll see you after school?" You asked.
"Can I bring you anything when I come?" He asked.
"Um, just any school work that I missed if you could"
"Of course babe, I'll see you soon" he said.
"See you soon" you said as you smiled and hung the phone back up.

After finishing your lunch you headed to the couch in the living room, where you quickly fell asleep.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
You jumped up in a cold sweat, "shit" you said as you hurried to the door. There stood Eddie, your homework in his arm "Sorry I'm late sweetheart" he said with a grin before kissing your forehead. You flashed a smile back at him before bringing him inside.

"Let's go to my room" you said as you took his hand, he followed. Before you could even get settled in your room you were interrupted by the feeling of throwing up, rushing to the bathroom you fell to your knees in front of the toilet and made it JUST in time before you filled the bowl with the contents of your stomach. Eddie quietly approached you "Wow. You're really sick huh?" He said as he knelt down and moved your hair out of the way before rubbing your back to comfort you. You looked up at him "Fuck" you whispered.
"What's wrong babe?" He asked.
You stared back at the toilet bowl, no, it couldn't be, no.
"Um Eddie... I-I just realized I'm late..." you said as you looked up at him. His eyes widened, he knew exactly what you meant.
"Just to confirm..You're 100% not kidding right?" He paused.
"No Eddie" you said as you flushed the toilet and washed your hands.
"Let's go" he said as he grabbed your damp hand. "Eddie, where are we going?" You asked as you tried to catch up.
"Pharmacy" he said as you two walked to his van.

Eddie put the van into gear and sped off to the pharmacy, thankfully it wasn't too late and it was still open. Once you arrived the two of you went in. Eddie held your hand throughout the whole store until you found the pregnancy tests. You grabbed one and went to the checkout clerk, who was definitely judging you two considering how young you both still look. You hopped back into Eddie's van and headed back to your house. You felt like you were going to be sick again.

Once you arrived at your house you went inside and went straight to the washroom, Eddie followed you and waited outside the door. A few minutes passed and you could tell he was starting to get worried, and so were you.
"Can I come in now?" Eddie asked.
"Sure" you said quickly.
Eddie opened the door and walked in slowly, looking at the pregnancy test sitting on the counter. He looked scared, so were you. Eddie picked up the instructions and started reading them, trying to figure out what it all meant.
"Eddie, I think it's ready" you said as you looked down at the test.
"What does that mean?" He asked.
You let out a sigh "It's negative... oh my god. Negative!" You shrieked as you jumped up. Eddie also let out a sigh and hugged you.
"I love you Y/N, but I'd be lying if I said I was ready for a kid" he laughed nervously "Me too Eddie, me too" you chuckled.

You discarded the pregnancy test before your mom could find it and then the two of you went back into your room. You plopped yourself on your bed and let out a sigh. Eddie crawled on top of you, placing little kisses along your neck, his hair tickling you as he moved his head. His big brown eyes met yours "Are you okay, sweetheart?" He asked. You nodded and smiled "Yea, now I am" you said as you cupped his face and brought him in for a kiss.
"Will you stay the night with me?" You asked.
"Of course Y/N, anything for you" he smirked.

Eddie rolled off of you and brought you into his arms, you placed your head on his chest like you've done a thousand times before.
"Eddie?" You asked
"Hm?" He hummed.
"Can we do something to take my mind of off everything?" You asked as you looked up at him. He smiled before saying "I have just the thing, are you up for a drive?" He asked.
"Always" you smiled.

You grabbed a sweater before heading out to Eddie's van, it was starting to get dark and it had started to drizzle outside. Eddie turned the heat on a little bit before driving off.
"Are you going to tell me where we're going or are you kid napping me?" You laughed.
"You'll see" he smiled as he placed his hand on your lap, his thumb rubbing back and forth.

You drove a few miles before he turned off of the road and headed into the woods. The only light source was the headlights of his van, the uneven ground was making the van bounce up and down. This was definitely not a well known spot. Suddenly he put the van into park and looked over at you.
"I've wanted to show you this ever since we met, I just didn't know when" he said with a smile "Come on" he said before hoping out of the van. You joined him outside, he climbed onto the roof of his van and held his hand out for you. Once you got up Eddie turned to you "Okay, now look up" he whispered. You slowly looked up at the nighttime sky "oh my god..." you gasped.

You could see countless stars in the sky, big and small, dull and bright. You looked back at Eddie who was watching your reaction "well? What do you think?" He asked.
"I- I'm speechless" you said.
"Here, come lay down" he said as he took your hand in his and helped you lay down. You looked back up at the sky as the two of you laid beside each other. "It's beautiful" you said.
"Not as beautiful as you" he said as he turned his head to you. You smiled at him before he brought you in for a kiss, his warm lips smashed against yours. You let out a soft moan as your hand reached for his cheek. He pulled away from the kiss slowly and looked at you again "I can't believe you're all mine" he whispered as he placed a kiss on the tip of your nose. "All" kiss "mine" another kiss.

You smiled at Eddie before looking back at the stars in the sky for awhile more. You weren't sure how much time had passed but you knew it was late, and cold.
"Um Eddie? Would you mind if we went back inside your van? I'm a little cold" you chuckled.
He sat straight up "oh my god, I should have brought my blanket, I'm so sorry babe. Come on" he said as he helped you down from the roof and back into his van.

He turned the vehicle on and cranked the heat.
"Back to your place?" He asked.
"Mhm" you hummed.
Eddie put the van into gear and headed back to yours, once you arrived you headed downstairs and into your room, where you quickly ran to the bed and curled up under the blankets.
"Hey, are you going to leave room for me?" Eddie laughed as he turned the lamp on beside your bed. He stripped out of his jacket and jeans before sliding into bed with you and scooped you into his arms. You placed your head against his tattooed chest, like you had done a thousand times before

"Can I be honest with you?" He asked.
"Of course Eddie" you said.
"I was scared shitless the whole time while we waited for that pregnancy test..." he paused ".. to be honest though, a tiny part of me was sad.."
You looked up at him "you mean?..." you said.
He nodded his head "I do want to be a dad one day, Y/N...." he paused again "....but we're still in high school and I know that wouldn't be a smart choice" he said.
"...Maybe one day" you smiled as you kissed his cheek, he returned a smile before kissing your lips. You rested your head back on his chest. He rubbed his hand along your back very slowly. You could heart his strong heart beat through his chest, you followed the steady rhythm of it as you slowly drifted off to sleep.
