Part 45 - LATE NIGHT TALKING (some Eddie POV)

Once you were done in the bathroom you headed to the kitchen and grabbed some snacks for you and Eddie. Grabbing some chips and a drink for each of you, you made your way back to your room, pushing the door open with your foot.
"As requested, snack" you smiled as you handed him a drink and put down the chips. You sat down on the bed beside him and he leaned over to kiss your cheek.
"You're the best" he hummed.

The two of you munched on chips and enjoyed a conversation about what the future holds.
"So" Eddie swallowed his food "I was thinking, and I know it's a few months away, but I was thinking we do something fun for our spring break" he smiled. You bit into another chip "What do you have in mind?" You asked.
"Well, how about camping for the week?" He asked.
"I've never camped that long before..." you paused.
"We can take my van and sleep in it too if that'll make you feel better?" He asked. You thought about it for a moment "Sure, let's do it" you smiled. Eddie leaned in and gave you a quick kiss on the lips "Awesome" he smiled wickedly.

"Do you want to watch a movie?" You asked. Eddie nodded and smiled before getting up and picking a movie from your bookshelf. He popped it into the VHS player and pressed play, it made a whirling noise as it began to play the film. Eddie crawled back onto the bed and laid down
"Come here" he said as he opened his arms for you. You blushed before crawling into his arms, you rested your head on his chest and felt his arms wrap around your body.
"I could seriously stay like this forever" he hummed as he began to rub your back.
"Me too" you said quietly.

Within a matter of minutes Eddie's breathing became heavier, you looked up at him and noticed he was sleeping. This man is truly gorgeous, you smiled and kissed his chest.
"Goodnight handsome" you whispered.
Resting your head back on his chest you focused on his strong heart beat, it was a matter of seconds before you too drifted off into sleep.

———Eddie's POV———

You were suddenly awaken by Y/N crying, you shot up in bed and reached over for her.
"Y/N?" You asked quietly. No answer.
"Y/N, babe are you awake?" You asked again. No answer. Shit. Must be another nightmare. Y/N started sobbing profusely, you rolled her over quickly and held her in your arms as you sat up. You tried waking her up again.
"Sweetheart" you shook her gently, her eyes fluttered.
"Sweetheart it's okay, I'm here. I'm right here" you said as you brushed her hair out of her face.
Finally her eyes opened and looked into yours, she looked absolutely terrified at something.
"Eddie!" she whimpered "Are you real? Is this real?" She asked in a shaky voice.
You hugged her closely "Its real, I'm real. It's okay sweetheart" you whispered as you stroked her hair "I'm here" you whispered. Her hands were violently shaking as they tried hugging you back. You rocked her back and forth as you tried to calm her down "Shhhhhhh" you whispered "It's okay, I've got you" you hummed.

After a few minutes of comforting Y/N she looked up at you, you rested your hand on her cheek and rubbed your thumb back and forth as you looked into her big beautiful eyes.
"Are you okay?" You asked.
"I am now" she whispered, her voice still a little shaky from crying so hard.
"What time is it?" She asked.
You looked over at the digital clock on her nightstand "it's 4:42am" you said.
She sighed "Can you cuddle me back to sleep?"
"Of course, sweetheart" you adjusted yourself and laid back down "come here" you whispered as you fixed the blankets and brought them back over the two of you. Y/N held onto your hand as she got comfortable.
"I'm sorry" she whispered.
"Don't be sorry Y/N" you whispered back.

You laid in bed wide awake, a million thoughts were running through your head like 'why does she have these frequent night terrors?' What are they about? What can I do to help? I wanna help' before you knew it you felt yourself drift back into sleep.

———Back to Y/N POV———

You woke up to the sound of your alarm, stretching your arms out you groaned and rolled over to turn it off. Looking back you saw Eddie who was still sound asleep, he looked like an absolute angel, you watched his chest rise and fall with every breath he took. You smiled to yourself and curled up against him warm body.
"Mmmmmorning babe" he hummed in a low and raspy voice, his morning voice was enough to make you melt.
"I'm sorry if I woke you" you whispered.
Eddie's hand ran down your back and stopped on your ass, he leaned in and kissed your forehead "Don't worry, You didn't" he smiled "I've got band practice today anyways so we should probably get up and eat"
"Sure, but let's stay in bed for a little longer" you hummed as you nestled your head back into his chest.
