Part 63 - MOM pt 2

After breakfast you and Eddie headed to your house, your heart raced the entire way there in hopes that your mom was gone to work so you didn't have to face her.
"Hey" Eddie said softly as he put his hand on your thigh "It'll be okay, I'm here" he added.
You placed your hand on top of his and smiled "Thank you" you said.

As you pulled up to your house you saw that your moms car was gone, meaning the house was vacant. Thank god. You hopped out of the van and headed to the front door. You fumbled with your keys before getting the lock on the door open. Eddie followed you in as you headed straight downstairs and opened the door to your room. You sniffled as you started frantically packing your things into empty boxes.
"Babe I've got it" Eddie said as he pushed you out the way, he could see that you were extremely upset "let's focus on the important stuff, okay?" He said "Let's get your clothes and uh" he looked around your room "whatever you want to bring to add to the decor in my room. I want you to feel like it's yours too" he smiled.
You exchanged a smile and continued packing.

As the two of you put the last box in Eddie's can you looked at him and hugged him tight.
"Thank you" you whispered.
Eddie rubbed your back "Anything for you sweetheart, now let's get going, yea?" He said.
You sniffled and shook your head yes before heading back into his van.

Eddie placed his warm hand on your thigh and smiled at the road "I know this isn't exactly how you pictured our future to be going but... I am happy to have you living with me" he looked at you with his smile still plastered on his gorgeous face. You squeezed his hand "I am too" you gave a small smile.

When you arrived back at Eddie's place Wayne was still there, Eddie hopped out of the van and headed inside as you started unloading your stuff. A few seconds later Wayne came out "Hey kiddo" he said "Go relax, Eddie and I got this" he added. You tried holding in your tears as best as you could "Okay, thank you Wayne" you said softly before bringing a handful of clothes inside and into Eddie's room. You headed into the bathroom as Eddie and Wayne continued to unload your things. Looking in the mirror you let go, tears streamed down your face as you relived the fight you had with your mom. You couldn't believe how things went down...how she could just disown you so fucking quick all because you said yes to getting married to the love of your life. You sank to the ground and leaned against the tub and brought your hands to your face as you continued to cry quietly.

After a few moments there was a soft knock on the door "Y/N?" Eddie said on the other side "Can I come in?" He asked. You didn't answer.
The door knob turned and you looked up as he cracked the door open. Eddie immediately fell to his knees in front of you and put his arms around you "Come here" he whispered.
"I can't believe this is happening" you whimpered "...my own fucking mother" you said.
"I know, babe. I know" he hushed as he rubbed your back "How about you lay down while I put some of your things away?" He said.
"Okay" you whispered as Eddie helped you on your feet.

You crawled into Eddie's bed and watched as he made room in his closet for your clothes. A few minutes had passed and you were just about to fall asleep before the walkie clicked "Eddie? It's Dustin. Over" It clicked off. He picked it up and answered "What's up man? Over" He asked as he kept cleaning.
"I need your help" Dustin said.
Eddie sighed "With what?"
"Mike and I are in a debate ov-"
Eddie interrupted "I'm sorry man, I have stuff I need to deal with today. Can this wait until tomorrow?" He said.
"Oh umm yea, my bad. Sorry" Dustin sounded a little sad.
"I'm sorry man.." Eddie turned around to see if you were sleeping before continuing his conversation. Your eyes were still closed but you were too exhausted to fight staying fully awake.
"Y/N's mom kicked her out yesterday..." he paused "We got engaged and her mom didn't approve..." the walkie clicked.
"Eddie! Oh my god! Dude!" Dustin shouted "Don't get me wrong, I'm really sorry about the situation but OH MY GOD! EDDIE MUNSON IS GETTING MARRIED?! HOLY SHIT" Dustin shouted.
Eddie chuckled "I know man, it's crazy. I can't believe she said yes...I don't think I've ever been this god damn happy... given the circumstances you know" you could hear the smile on his face.
"Dude! That's so exciting!" Dustin said over the walkie.
"Thanks man. It means a lot. I have a question to ask you before you go... would you mind gathering some of the gang and brining them by with some snacks or whatever to my place later?... I think it would really help Y/N" Eddie said
"Yea of course. I can be there around 7. Over and out" Dustin said.

—————time skip—————

"Babe" Eddie whispered as he rubbed your arm "Babe, do you wanna get up?" He asked.
You groaned as you stretched out, your eyes adjusted to the lamp on the night at a beside the bed "What time is it?" You asked as you rubbed your tired eyes.
"It's almost 7" he said "Come on, I'll make you dinner" he said as he slowly picked you up out of bed. Your arms wrapped around his neck as he carried you into the living room and placed you on the couch.

You were still a little groggy when there was a knock at the door, you looked over at Eddie who was looking through the cupboards for food "Do you mind getting the door?" He asked. You rubbed your eyes as you got up and walked to the door, you slowly opened it and we're quickly startled by a gaggle of children.
"SURPRISE" they all yelled.
"Jesus Christ!" You said as you were now fully awake.

All of your friends stood at the door with smiles on their faces. Dustin, Mike, Max, Robin, Nancy and Steve all of them were here for you. You looked down at Dustin, who had the biggest grin of them all "Lucas couldn't make it because of ball but he sends his well wishes. We were told to bring snacks or whatever" he said. You pulled him in for a hug and whispered "thank you".

Everyone entered and placed food and drinks all over the kitchen counter, you looked over at Eddie who stood tall against the kitchen counter and smiled as he mouthed the words "I love you".

Chatter filled the room as everyone helped themselves to food and drinks.
"OH MY GOD I ALMOST FORGOT!" Dustin shouted.
"What?!" You matched his energy as you laughed.
"Um?! Don't the two of you guys have news to share" Dustin smiled as he stared at you and Eddie.
"Oh right" you chuckled, Eddie took a few steps closer to you and wrapped his arm around your waist, the two of you looked at each other and smiled as you held out your ring "We're engaged!" You said.

Everyone cheered and went nuts as they all took turns congratulating the two of you. As the group was holding your hand and awing over your ring you and Steve locked eyes, he gave you a small smile and you returned it. You could tell there was something he wanted to say but now wasn't the time.

"So when's the wedding?" Robin asked.
You laughed "oh we haven't gotten that far yet" you said.
"Sooner rather than later" Eddie smiled as he looked down into your eyes.
"Well whenever it is I hope you invite us" Dustin said.
"We wouldn't have one without you guys" you said. There was a small pause in the conversation before Steve broke it "So! Who wants to play some games?" He asked. Everyone agreed and sat around the coffee table in the living room.
