Part 32 - EDDIE, MEET MOM

You rushed home from school before getting ready for dinner, your room was a mess so you quickly cleaned it before Eddie showed up.
"Honey?" Your mom yelled from the kitchen.
"Yea mom?" You yelled back.
"Does Eddie like salad?" She yelled.
"Um, I think so" you yelled.

You had just put your last t-shirt on a hanger when you heard the door KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. Your heart started pounding, this was it, your mom was either going to love Eddie or hate Eddie. Okay deep breaths Y/N.

Running up the stairs you headed for the door and swung it open, there stood Eddie. His tall lean body was leaning against the porch, he was wearing jeans without rips in them and a dress shirt that he definitely doesn't own "Hey sweetheart, um these are for you and these are for your mom" he said with a smile as he handed you two little hand picked bouquets of flowers "Oh Eddie, thank you!" You said as you hugged him. "Come on, my moms in the kitchen" you said.

Eddie held your hand as you led the way into the kitchen "Hey mom..Um this is Eddie, my boyfriend" you said shyly as you looked at Eddie, who was clearly very anxious. He let go of your hand and held his out towards your mom, giving her a proper hand shake.
"Hi Mrs Y/L/N, I'm Eddie" he said in a shaken voice.
"Oh and these are for you, they're from Eddie" you said as you handed her the other bouquet of flowers.
"Oh thank you, Eddie! So good to finally meet you, I've heard lots about you" your mom smiled "dinner will be ready shortly if you want to show him around"
You nodded your head and grabbed Eddie's hand. He gave a small chuckle as he whispered in your ear "Don't worry, I'll act surprised when you show me your room for the first time" he winked.

After giving Eddie a quick tour of the house, again, you headed to your room and closed the door. Eddie was quick to grab you by the waist
"Come here, sweetheart" he said before placing a kiss on your lips. You sank into the kiss, finding immediate relief. "I think she approves" you smiled into the kiss.
"I hope so, I borrowed my uncles shirt to make a good impression" he chuckled as he ran his fingers through your hair.
"She would have accepted you no matter what you wore today" you smiled before giving Eddie another peck.

"DINNER!" Your mom yelled from upstairs.
"I'm starving" you said as you led the way upstairs and into the kitchen. The smell of lasagne hit and your stomach started to growl.
"I hope you two are hungry" she said. 
"Oh I'm always hungry" Eddie chuckled.

The three of you sat down at the dinner table, helping yourselves to the meal. Things seemed to be going well, too well in fact, but you weren't about to question it.
"You have a lovely home" Eddie said as he stuffed his face with another bite.
"Thank you" your mom replied "how about you Eddie, where do you live?" She asked.
"Forest Hill trailer park, I live there with my uncle" he said as he swallowed his food. Your mom smiled at him.

After dinner was finished your mom offered dessert, but you and Eddie were too full so you gracefully declined. "Oh thank you Mrs Y/L/N, but I couldn't. I'm too full. But next time for sure" Eddie smiled.
"No worries dear" your mom said as she cleaned off the dinner table. "So what are your plans this evening?" She added.
"Well, if it's alright with you I was hoping I could take Y/N out to the arcade" Eddie asked.
"Oh of course!" Your mom replied "Just have her home by 10/11, it is a school night after all" she winked.
"Of course" he smiled as he looked at you.
"Thank you for dinner mom" you said "yes, thank you!" Eddie added.
"Any time you two" she said as she brought the dishes to the sink.

Eddie tried offering his help but your mom insisted he take you out, so he did just that. You grabbed your bag and a jacket before saying goodbye to your mom and headed into Eddie's van. As soon as you two entered the van Eddie let out a deep breath "good god that was nerve wracking, I hope I did okay, did I do okay?" He asked as he looked at you, you giggled "yes Eddie, you did great. I think she really likes you" Eddie put his hand on his chest in relief "thank god" he let out another deep breath before looking at you "now, let's go" he said.

As he started driving you noticed it was in the opposite direction of the arcade "we aren't going to the arcade, are we?" You asked.
Eddie gave you a wicked smile "no" he said. He continued to drive until you arrived at the destination, lovers lake, where he parked.

Eddie hopped into the back of his van and reached his hand out for you, you grabbed his hand and jumped back as well but not before tripping and falling into him, the two of you bursted out in laughter "why'd you do that"
Eddie teased. You hit him in his chest playfully before sitting back up. He lifted his hand up to your ear and tucked your hair behind it, keeping his hand cupped on your jaw.
"You're so beautiful" he said as he smirked.
You blushed and looked down at your hands "So are you".

Eddie pulled you into a deep kiss, the kind that leave your lips bright red afterwards. Your lips moved in unison, his tongue quickly found its way into your mouth like it always did. You flicked your tongue around his at you continued to kiss, battling for dominance. Your hands made their way up to the back of his neck, where you started twirling your fingers into his fluffy hair. Eddie broke away from the kiss and looked into your eyes "Y/N?" He asked.
"Eddie?" You asked.
"I have something for you" he said. You looked at him for a few moments in confusion, what could it be? You thought. Eddie reached over to under the passenger seat and pulled out something wrapped in tissue "Here" he said as he placed the item in your lap.

You looked down at the loosely wrapped gift and untied it, revealing a black and white baseball tee. You lifted it up, it was a Hellfire club shirt "Eddie, you can't just give me your DND shirt, your the DM" you laughed.
"No sweetheart, I made it for you, this one's yours" he said with a smile.
Your face lit up, 'oh my god, he made me a shirt' you thought to yourself.
"So does this mean?.." you paused and looked at Eddie, who was nodding his head
"Welcome to Hellfire" he said with a giant toothy grin.

You dropped the shirt in your lap and swung your arms around Eddie.
"I take that as a yes you'll join" he laughed as he wrapped his arms around you.
"Of course!! I'm so excited!" You practically shrieked. You were about to let go of the hug when Eddie squeezed you in closer
"I'm not letting go" he whispered "Never"
You sank into his arms and hummed, this is where you want to be. In Eddie's arms, forever.

You closed your eyes and rested your head on his shoulder as he rubbed your back. He started humming, you've never heard him him before but it was clear that he was humming to a song in his head, you wondered what it could be.

"SHIT! EDDIE!" You jumped up and shook him awake "EDDIE ITS 2am! WE FELL ASLEEP!"
He quickly awakened "Oh shit! Come on babe" he said in a groggy voice as he helped you up to the front seat. Eddie put the van into gear and bolted back to your place, making it in record time. You grabbed your bag but before you hopped out Eddie grabbed your arm "Hey... I love you Y/N Y/L/N" he smiled as he pulled you in for a kiss "goodnight sweetheart" he said
"Goodnight babe" you replied with a smile before jumping out and running to the front door. You looked back at Eddie, who was waiting for you to get inside. Putting the key into the lock you gave it a slow turn and opened the front door hoping to god you were quiet enough not to wake your mom. You waved at Eddie as he drove away and closed the door before sneaking into your room. You managed to make it into bed without making a noise, you slipped into your pyjamas and laid in bed.

All you could think about was the way Eddie held you tonight, it's like he was saying something deeper than just 'I love you' but you couldn't put words to it.
