Part 66 - ROBIN

You sighed heavily as you closed your locker, thank god school was just about finished. It was going to be a long night of trying to study while Wayne took a few loads of things to his new place.
"Y/N wait up" a voice yelled from behind, you turned around and saw Robin with a big grin on her face.
"Hey" you said.
"Are you walking today?" She asked.
"Yea, Eddie left after his spare to go help Wayne" you said.
"Mind if I walk with you for a bit?" She asked.
"No not at all" you replied.

The two of you headed out the school doors and started heading towards Eddie's.
"I should probably get my license" you sighed.
"Probably not a bad idea" Robin chuckled.
"So um.. how've you been?" You asked.
"Honestly, not bad" Robin said. She seemed quieter than usual.
"Is everything okay?" You asked.
"Hm? Oh yea. Just stressed about our finals. It all seems so...final, you know?" she explained.
"Yea I get that. On top of being worried about myself, I'm trying to get Eddie to pass too" you sighed.
"He will, and so will you" she smiled.
"Thanks" you smiled back.

You continued to walk down the street in comfortable silence "Soo... am I allowed to ask about your mom?" She said.
You paused "oh um... yea.." you chuckled nervously "Well obviously as you know, Eddie asked me to marry him and I said yes" you smiled "...But my mom was not as happy as I thought she'd be... which honestly made me quite upset" you paused "She um. She kicked me out after we had a fight and I haven't talked or seen her since.." you continued to watch your feet on the concrete.

"Can I say something?" Robin asked.
"Sure" you said hesitantly.
"I think you should pick up the phone and call your mom" she said.
"Oh I-I don't think that's a good idea" you said.
"But what if, one day, you regret not sharing this experience with her. What if she wants to experience it all with you but she's scared of processing her own emotions?" Robin looked you in your eyes "She's your mom, I know she loves you" she said.
You sighed and tried to process what Robin just said... she was right.
"Thanks Robin" you said quietly "This is my turn off- I'll see you at work tomorrow" you said.
"See you" she waved.

For the remainder of the walk you kept replying what Robin had said over and over in your head. You hate to admit it but she was right - you needed to call your mom and sort this shit out before it's too late and you both regret it.

As you walked up to the trailer park you noticed Wayne's truck was gone, you sighed in relief, hopefully you'll get a moment of silence to yourself. As you twisted the key into the lock you pushed the door open "Hello?" You called out.
No answer, Eddie must be out helping Wayne with his things. Closing the door behind you, you locked it. The more Wayne brought with him, the more the place looked sparse, which was totally fine since you wanted to decorate to your liking anyways.

Putting your bag in Eddie's room you grabbed a towel and headed into the bathroom to shower. You stripped out of your clothes and stepped into the steamy shower, immediately letting the water trickle down your soft skin, you hummed and closed your eyes as you enjoyed the feeling. After washing your hair and body you squeezed the water out of your hair and wrapped the towel around your body. The air outside of the shower was crisp, making your skin cover itself in goosebumps. You shivered as you quickly ran into Eddie's bedroom and put on the comfiest clothes you could find, which happened to be your sweatpants and one of Eddie's sweat shirts.

After towel drying your hair you headed into the kitchen to make some pasta while you study. As you were waiting for the pasta to boil you went into Eddie's room to grab your social studies book to start studying.

——————Time skip—————

After finishing your pasta and about an hour of studying you cleaned up and headed into Eddie's room to lay in bed. Just as you crawled into bed you heard the door open.
"Y/N?" Eddie called out.
"In the room" you called back.
You heard foot steps towards the room followed by Eddie, who had a big goofy grin on his face "Hi sweetheart" he said.
"Hi" you said softly.
"You look comfy" he smiled.
"I am" you smiled back "You should join me" you said.
Eddie leaned in and gave you a quick kiss on the lips "I will, let me just shower and eat first" he said as he headed back out the door "Oh, I forgot to mention- Wayne's all moved in so he's staying at his new place starting tonight" he yelled from the bathroom "which means, we're officially alone" Eddie said as he poked his head around the corner, he had a wicked grin upon his face, he had trouble written all over him. You couldn't form the words for how excited you were so you flashed him a toothy grin instead.

—————Eddie's POV —————

After getting out of the shower you tied the towel around your waist and used another one to dry our your hair. When you returned to your room you noticed Y/N already sleeping, she always looks so beautiful when she's in her dreamland. You smiled as you tried to be as quiet as you could while getting clean clothes on before heading out into the kitchen.

You looked around the kitchen for something to eat, you settled on pop tarts. If Y/N woke up she'd probably yell at you for having pop tarts for dinner. You looked around the trailer at all of the newly empty space. Although living in Wayne's trailer was nice, it wasn't your dream home. All you kept thinking about was that abandon house you took Y/N to months ago - your dream home, the home where you want to start a family with your future wife.

Snapping out of your deep thought you finished up and headed back into your room, the movie was still playing on the tv as you turned the lamp off and crawled into bed. It was still early but you couldn't resist cuddling up to Y/N, she just looked so damn cozy in your bed.

As you laid down beside her you pulled her in closely, inhaling her sweet scent. She hummed as she repositioned herself closer to you. Although you had to prep for your next dnd session, you couldn't bring yourself to get out of bed, Y/N was making it very hard to leave.

(Hey! I'm going to be wrapping up this story shortly, I think. I haven't been getting many reads or interests in this story so I think it may be time to tie all of the loose ends.
