Part 22 - MINI ROAD TRIP / CAMPING / TRUTH OR DARE?!

"Henderson are you there?" Eddie called on the walkie "HENDERSON WE'RE LEAVING NOW, ILL BE THERE IN 10, YOU BETTER BE READY!" He yelled over the walkie.
"Alright got everything you need babe?" Eddie turned to you and asked. You nodded and smiled as you headed out the door to his van.

Even though this was just a small day trip to the next town over you were still excited to get out of Hawkins for a little bit. The van screeched as Eddie to a stop and honked his horn. Within a few seconds you saw Dustin and Mike holding all of their gear and running out of Dustin's house and into the the van. Before the two boys could get settled Eddie had slammed on the gas and took off.
"Jesus Christ Eddie!" Dustin yelled as he and Mike laughed
"Hey guys" Eddie said with a smile.
"How have you been y/n?" Dustin asked.
"I'm good, how are you two doing?" You said as you looked over your seat.
"Good" Dustin and Mike said in unison.

"Sooo, y/n" Dustin paused. Mike looked at him with widened eyes, as if he was trying to say 'SHUT UP DUSTIN'
"Yes Dustin?" You asked.
"Have you talked to Robin, Nancy, or Steve lately?" He asked as he looked at Eddie.
"Um, Nancy yes... Robin not since the night of the Halloween party, and Steve..." you looked at Eddie and could see he was getting uncomfortable with the topic "no, I haven't talked to Steve" you said looking back at Dustin and Mike. "Why do you ask?" You continued.
"Just curious" he said. You have him a confused look. "Actually, Eddie I was going to ask if max could join us later. I know us 3 are going camping later and I was wondering if it would be weird if I invited Max? It's just, I know Max has been having a hard time lately, you know, with loosing her brother last year, I thought maybe it would be nice for all of us to hangout" Dustin rambled.
"Oh um, I'll leave that up to Eddie, it was his idea to go camping in the first place" you said as you looked at him. Eddie was in deep thought, you could see him having a debate in his head before your very eyes. You looked back at Dustin and Mike waiting for Eddie to answer.
"Sure, that would be fun" Eddie said with a smile.
"Are you sure Eddie?" You asked
"Yes, plus it'll be another girl for you to hangout with" he said as you gave you a smile. You smiled back.
"Sweet, I'll walkie Max when we get back then" Dustin said.

The 4 of you continued to drive until you reached the next town. Eddie pulled up to a unknown house and turned around before saying "Alright, stay in the van okay?" He look at you and the boys. Once he jumped out of the van the boys immediately turned to you again and looked at each other.
"Okay, Y/N we shouldn't be saying this but"
"Dustin don't-" Mike said as he tried to shut him up.
"Steve won't shut up about you Y/N!" He blurred out
"Dustin!" Mike said.
"No listen, he really still feels bad about that night at his party and he wants to make things right with Eddie" Dustin explained.
You looked at him and then Mike.
Mike sighed "it's true Y/N, he really does"
"I'll believe it when I see it- shit. Everyone shut up Eddie's coming back" you said as you turned around to look out the window. Eddie hopped back in the van and threw his bag down on the floor, the smell hit you like a wall.
"That's why we came all this way, Eddie to get you weed?" Dustin asked. Eddie turned around to face him "Yea it is. My supplier is back in prison so I had to come out here to get some stuff in the meantime, problem?".
Dustin put his hands up to surrender "all good man" he said.

Eddie put the van into gear and took off again. After about 40 minutes of driving and rocking out to Eddie's music you arrived back in Hawkins. Mike pulled Dustin's walkie out and extended the arm "Max!.. Max can you hear me?" He said. A few moments passed "loud and clear" Max said.
"Come camping with me, Dustin, Eddie, and Y/n we're going to lovers lake" Mike said. There was a long pause "I don't know Mike...." She said.
Dustin grabbed the walkie from Mike "come on Max, we miss you. Y/N is here too so you won't be the only girl" the boys were now looking down at the walkie, waiting for her reply.
"Fine, pick me up in 30. Over" she said as the walkie clicked off.
