Part 8 - FRIDAY NIGHT

As you were waiting you could hear Eddie shuffling around inside, followed by a thud "SHIT" he said. Not wanting to pry you continued to wait outside for him, finally he came out and locked the door behind him "shall we?" He said while gesturing to let you go first. As you two got in his van he said "so, where should we go?" "Um, I was hoping you would know since it's like my first week here in Hawkins" you blushed.
"Oh right hah, alright I know just the place, but first! Food!" Eddie brought you to the same corner store as the night before. This time you two grabbed a slice of pizza that they had and some snacks for later on.

Once back in the van the you started devouring the pizza you had just bought. Eddie looked at you, eating your pizza in complete peace, not a care in the world and nothing else in the world mattered to you at this very moment... "what?" You said with a mouth full of food which caused you and him to burst into laughter. "Nothing I was just admiring you that's all" he smirked. He started driving again, this time heading closer to the woods "are you taking me out here to murder me Eddie Munson?" You asked half kidding half but also kind of not. "Nah, something cooler than that you'll see" he said.

He pulled over off to the side of the road "alright to get out, we gotta walk the rest of the way" you unbuckled your seat belt and hopped out of the van. Eddie reached for your hand and held onto it. "Where exactly are you taking me?" "You'll see, it's just a little further" he said with a giant smile. You started approaching this weirdly shaped rock, Eddie ran ahead a little and stopped right in front of it "Welcome to Skull Rock!" He yelled. Incredible.

After talking for a few hours under the rock the two of you had really getting to know each other more. It was kind of amazing how much you had in common with each other.

The both of you forgot just how much time passed because it started getting dark and cold outside. "Maybe we should head back, what do you say?" Eddie asked as he noticed you starting to shiver. You nodded in reply "do you want me to take you home?" He asked in a somber tone. You nodded no, and you immediately saw his spirits lifting. Eddie didn't want the night to end either. "Sooo. my place or yours?" You questioned. Something inside was hoping he'd say his place, his place just felt more like a homey to you and it was comforting. "How bout mine?" He said, you nodded. He grabbed your hand to help you get up, how was his hand still possibly warm you thought. Before you had the chance he pulled you in closely, his arms wrapped around your waist as the two of you stared into each other's eyes. This. This is where I feel most safe. Eddie started leaning in slowly, you took the hint and started doing the same. The moment his lips met yours sparks flew, your stomach started doing flips. Wow. I think I love him. After pulling away from each other Eddie gazed into your eyes for a few moments longer "Did you feel that too?" He asked "mhm" you hummed as you bit your bottom lip. "We should probably get outta here before it gets too dark to see, come on sweetheart".

You stayed close to Eddie until you reached the van, you weren't a fan of being in the woods at night but at least you had someone with you, someone you now trusted. As soon as you two got in the van he turned the heat on and started cranking the tunes, this time was a little different though.. he reached over with his hand and rested it on your thigh, he was so warm. You placed your hand on top of his in approval, you glanced over at him and could see that he was smiling, you looked down at your leg and started smiling too. Do I love Eddie? Fuck. I think I might.

You arrived at Eddie's again. As you entered his trailer he tossed the keys on the counter "drink?" He asked. "Sure, I'll drink whatever you have" "beer okay?" You nodded as you took a seat in the living room couch. Before he sat down he cracked open the beer bottle and passed one to you. Each of you took a swig before setting your bottles down. Eddie took your hands in his "I have something for you" he said with a nervous smile "okayyy?..." you replied "I'll be right back! Don't move Y/N" Eddie quickly made his way into his room, all you heard was rummaging around followed by "AHA FOUND YOU" He came out of his room with his hands behind his back "you have to promise me that you'll take good care of this" holding your hand up in oath "I promise" "okay close your eyes then" he said anxiously. Not sure what to expect you closed your eyes and put your hands out, you suddenly felt a tiny cold object "annnnd open them" your eyes opens and adjusted to the light again before looking at your palms.

A ring, but not just any ring, a ring that resembles Eddie's skull ring that he always wears only this one is smaller. "Oh my god, Eddie are you sure? This is like your baby" "no no no no, this one is yours, I still have mine.. see?" He raised his hand to show you his skull ring. "I- I don't know what to say" "well please say something you're making me nervous here hah, I ditched school this afternoon to get this for you"  So that's where he went. You looked into his now puppy dog eyes "oh Eddie, I love it so much, thank you thank you thank you" you said as you hugged him tight. "Well! Don't just sit there put it on!" He said in an excited tone of voice "okay okay" you laughed. You slid it onto your left index finger and it fit perfectly, as if it were made for you. As a thank you you leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Would you like to stay the night again?" He asked, knowing that it was a weekend and that you wouldn't see your mom for the next few days you figured 'fuck it why not'. "I'd love to" you said with a grin. "Awesome" he replied.
