CHAPTER 45 - HER FATHER

"Are you ready?"

I asked Eira again while walking to her parents' house. Hindi ko nga alam kung naka-ilang tanong na ako sa kaniya niyan.

Pag-alis pa lang namin sa unit at habang bumabyahe ay tinatanong ko na siya kahit 'yung totoo ay ako talaga 'yung hindi ready.

Fuck, ako 'yung nag-aya pero ako 'yung ayaw ng tumuloy.

"I am, how about you?" she glanced at me, she even blinked when she saw my face." Are you okay? You looked pale, Fabiana.."

"I'm fine, don't worry." I gave her a small smile before sighing.

This is it! Kakabahan pero hindi aatras! I bit my lower lip when she suddenly squeezed my hand

Napangiti ako dahil mukhang pinapakalma niya ako na gumana naman.

We stopped walking when we were already in front of their door. I sighed before knocking. We waited a few minutes before it opened.

Unti-unti nanamang namuo 'yung kaba sa dibdib ko habang unti-unting bumubukas 'yung pinto.

Fuck, why naman pa-suspense pa?

I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw their maid, she opened the door for us. I thought it was her father or mother!

"Yaya, where's papa?" Eira asked in a monotone.

She greeted Eira first before answering."He's in his office, ma'am."

I thanked her first before starting to walk upstairs para sundan si Eira. Agad na lang kasing naglakad si Eira! Hindi man lang nag-thank you.

"Where's your mother?" I asked curiously as I looked around their house.

I mean, it's like a mansion without life. It was all plain. Wala man lang sila gamit. Mayroon naman pero kaunti lang.

"She has a business trip, I guess."She shrugged her shoulder.

Tumahimik na rin kami habang binabaybay 'yung office ng ama niya. I was also busy because my eyes wandered around even though there was nothing special there.

I mentally slapped my forehead when she just opened the door, 'yung pintuan ng office ng tatay niya pagkarating namin sa harap.

"Barumbado.."Mahinang bigkas ko na mukhang narinig niya.

She glanced at me while raising her eyebrow."I didn't push it hard."

"Regardless. You should knock first before entering someone's door." I preached while shaking my head."You know, maybe they're doing something-"

"Like what we did earlier in my office?" She mockily smirked at me when she saw me speechless.

Damn it! Bakit kailangan isama 'yon!? Sasagot na sana ako nang biglang may tumikhim sa gilid namin.

Ngayon ko lang naalala na nandito nga pala kami sa office ng tatay niya! Nagsimula nanamang mamuo 'yung kaba ko na hindi ko alam kung bakit ayaw mawala.

Iniwas na ni Eira ang tingin sa'kin at bagkus ay tinuon 'yon sa harap kung saan nanggaling ang tunog.

"Dad.." Eira greeted her father casually.

I heard her dad gasped."You two came here just to flirt, huh?"

I bit my bottom lip to calm myself down. I can also feel the look of Eira's father on me. I sighed before slowly turning to the front.
