Monday was back to work for the pair, thankfully only today and tomorrow since their island getaway trip starts Wednesday.
Both him and Felix were busy with work all morning, when they younger finished his shift he went to go see Chan. And that's when the older said he managed to fit in a quick appointment with the therapist Jinsoul.
"Chan? Please come in!" She said from her couch office, Jinsoul was getting a quick read of Chan's file as she heard the door open.
"Jinsoul...? Hi..." Chan smiled entering.
*meow*
"Oh? Did you bring someone-
Oh it's Felix! Hello cute kitty!
I'm sorry, did I misunderstand your appointment request? Is this for couple's counseling? I thought it was just for you-"
"No, You didn't. It's not couple's counseling but...more so for having him with me for support. Instead of him just hanging out in my office alone too" Chan tried to joke with her as he pulled Felix in with him to the couch.
*meow*
"H-hi Jinsoul..." Felix smiled shyly.
"Ok that's perfectly fine! And hello cute kitty! Nice seeing you again, both of you get comfortable. So Chan, you said you wanted to discuss some worrying thoughts in today's session?" She asked fixing her glasses.
"Um ya...kitten are you comfortable?" Chan asked holding Felix's hand in his as they leaned close to the pillows, Felix nodded with a purr nuzzling his face in Chan's arm.
*meow*
"Good kitty...oh yes! Back to the question...so pretty much *sigh* Felix knows this too...but I'm a doctor and I can get very stressed sometimes with patients, meetings, projects, surgeries-"
"Everything, right?" Jinsoul smiled, Chan nodded with a shy smile agreeing.
"Yes...and what tends to happen when I'm really stressed is...I kind of snap...or say things I don't mean to others...and especially Felix sometimes...then when I realize what I did...I feel like shit..." Chan confessed, Felix quietly listened as he purred against Chan's shoulder.
"Ok I understand, before I get into that and since Felix is here. May I ask a few questions? Just to see if any additional factors come into this" she asked.
"Oh...sure. Go ahead" Chan nodded with a smile.
"Great! Alright, so first one is...is at home ok with both of you? Besides the times of stress, are there daily arguments or anything?"
"Not really...we are fine at home. Sometimes he doesn't listen and I have to reprimand him...but he's a hybrid so it can't be helped" Chan joked a bit.
*meow*
Felix meowed becoming shy.
"That's very true Chan, hybrids even with owners are still their own beings. Next question, From our last sessions and with Felix he is your partner, correct? How is sex life at home? If you are having any that is? Any troubles with intimacy?"
"Um..." Chan wasn't expecting that question, making him blush and the same for Felix.
*meow*
The older cleared his throat fidgeting with Felix's hand in his own.
"U-um yes we do have sex-"
"Channie it's naughty time..." Felix whined with a whisper getting embarrassed, Chan sighed as the boy hid his face in Chan's shirt shying away.
Oh boy
"Sorry...um, he prefers to call it naughty time...it's the same thing. But yes, we have it regularly and no issues in bed or so" Chan added with blushing cheeks. Jinsoul gave a small giggle hearing Felix's innocent term for it.
"That's quite cute, I forgot he does call it that~
And I'm glad things are good in that area. Moving on! So with work stress it does different things to many people and hybrids. Sometimes it makes people angry, depressed, or cry when burned out from work. It-"
"C-Channie has it sometimes and it's bad for his heart..." Felix meowed looking at her, Chan gently petted his head kissing his cheek.
"Baby, let her finish-"
"No it's ok Chan. Felix kitty, yes a lot of stress is bad for health...since you live with Chan, you think you can tell me what he's like from your experience?" She asked softly, shyly nodded as Chan listened to his comment.
*meow*
"Channie...when he has a lot of stress or gets angry...he says things that are sometimes mean...and it hurts my feelings...and when I'm having stressy work stuff too...or my heat...I say mean things to Channie I don't mean either..." Felix mumbled, Jinsoul nodded with a hum.
"Ok, so that's important you understand that. Just like you said Felix, when we're stressed we have these emotions that become like a dormant volcano. And when it becomes too much, it erupts. So just like what happens with you, or Chan. Other people experience it too"
*meow*
"So with what Felix added...I regret some things I've said to him because of it. Is there anything you can advise on work stress? I exercise already and I'm not sure what else that would work for me-"
*meow*
"Channie I'm tired..." Felix gave a sleepy meow shifting to curl up on the couch, he rested his head on Chan's lap purring into his thighs.
"Ok kitten-
Oh sorry...he does this if he's tired. He had a long work shift-"
"No need to apologize! He's a hybrid, it's expected~" she joked, Chan gave a small laugh back as Felix purred himself to sleep. He gently petted his head continuing his talk with Jinsoul.
"As I was saying, I-"
"So you're already active and your life is happy, except for the work stress? I suggest some mindfulness techniques and to take a step back from so much of your work. You mentioned before you lead most of it? Try to let someone else do that role, and you try to focus on yourself" she added, Chan hummed with a sigh thinking.
"That sounds easier said than done...and I don't think meditation or mindfulness whatever, will help me-"
"Have you ever tried it?" She asked with a smile, Chan looked down to Felix shaking his head.
"N-no..."
"Then, how will you know if you never tried it Chan? It doesn't have to be meditation exactly...but something along the lines of freeing your mind from daily stress. Ok?"
"Well...ok...I guess..." Chan said to her.
"Great! I'll make a list of suggestions and email them to you! And since Felix is here...did he want to talk about his stress too?"
"Um..." Chan looked down to see Felix fast asleep, he gave a quiet laugh looking at Jinsoul.
*meow*
"That might be kinda hard to do so at the moment..."
