POV Ciara
should I have done it? probably not, do I regret it? no. I was thinking why track Charlie and Meeps. To be honest I'm not sure what to say to the young A.I when I see her, I'll either give her a hug and thank her for at least trying to keep Charlie alive or.... well it's better not said or thought.
I started to remember my first kill, it was about a year after the piglins had raided my village for all the gold there. me and Kane had been living out of a small hut since then just me and him.
he'd left to go get food and I was home alone when reading a book of all things, I don't do that anymore, not probably. I heard the door open and I went over to the door expecting to see Kane there.
the door was wide open. "Kane?" I asked.
"Hello, Ciara,"
I froze I know that voice, cold and sinister, I felt a shadow come over me, I slowly turned to find a man towering over me, he was unkempt with a scraggly beard and a scar going over his left cheek. he was called, Jason, he lived in my village for years. he had done something a week or so before the attack, got into a fight with dad, that's where the scar came from, my dad, he was later banished by dad from what he had done.
"It's been a while," He said. I looked around me, and found a small kitchen knife I lunched myself for it but Aron stopped me pushing me back onto the floor. "I recently went home, but I found almost everyone dead, apart from you and Kane, so what better way to get revenge," he pulled out a needle. Before jabbing it into my arm.
I woke up in a dark damp room, a flickering light above me, my hands were tied up to a chair as were my legs. I couldn't see anyone I was down they for hours, maybe longer, my stomach started to hurt and my arms were sore, then the hatch opened. and Janson claimed down holding a plate of food.
"hello Ciara, I'm sure you want to know why I've brought you here?" Jason said picking at the meat on his plate. I stayed silent and just looked at him. "You're Dad, he was an asshole, he deserved to die for what he did to me,"
I stared at the food and he noticed. "Oh right you must be hungry?" he asked. he walked over to me, help the plate near my mouth, and then tipped the plate the meat falling onto the floor. "Whoops,"
"Kane will find me, and when he does, your dead," I finally said. pulling at the rope binding my hands.
Jason laughed. "He won't find you, Ciara, Kane'll never find you, no one will," he said grabbing my chin. "your dad might be dead, but I can make you pay instead," He said. so I spat in his face. he whipped it off his face and laughed again before he backhanded me. "you could of made this easy on your self Ciara," he said walking away and turning the light out before leaving.
I couldn't track how long I was down there, but I know at least three days passed again before he came down again. he looked and walked over. "by now you must be very hungry and on the brink of dehydration," he held to a glass of water to me.
when I turned my head away from him. he grabbed my head and turned it to face him and forced my mouth open and poured the water in. "now next time Ciara, Do as I say and I might let you have some food," he said.
another day, and I had spent them wearing the rope down on the uneven wood it was close to snapping when Jason came down next, this time with a plate of food and a shape knife to cut the stake. "Are you going to play along Ciara?" he asked.
I looked at him. "Fuck you," I said. Kane had told me time and time again that word was a nought word.
he gently placed the plate down and walked over to me holding up the knife and walking towards me. "I've had enough for you, time to end you," and the rope snapped I launched myself forward.
