Trigger warning: homophobic subject matter

POV Ciara

I straightened the tie Kane had done up for me, as I checked myself out in the mirror, the crimson suit was a nice fit, and the blue top underneath them, I smiled as Kane walked back. "how do I look?" I asked.

"Wonderful," Kane said. "Although the tie isn't right," he said fixing the tie.

"Thanks, Kane," I said looking in the mirror.

"What time is she meant to get here?" Kane asked, reading the next page of his book. '101 ways to prevent your small friend from causing chaos'

"What's up with the book?" I asked.

Kane lifted a mug and sipped. "Charlie leant me the book, thought it might help me stop you from breaking things,"

I narrowed my eyes at him, picked up a butter knife and chucked it into the mug he was drinking.

"HEY!" Kane yelled.

I smiled. "You can never not stop me from breaking things Kane, Never!"

then a knock at the door. "that's me off! BYE!" I said starting off to the door before he could speak anymore, I opened the door and Abigail was standing there, she was dressed up nicely. her dress had a white top, with a black skirt, and she had a silver neckless with a blue sapphire gem in the middle.

"hey...you look beautiful," I said closing the door and standing in the hallway with her. "The dress is wonderful where did you get it?"

"Oh this nice lady helped me pick it, she had blond hair, and a blue top with a rainbow going across her chest, she was very lovely and helpful, although she talked very oddly, a bit like Charlie...." Abigail said.

"Who paid off it?" Ciara asked slightly confused.

"Charlie," Abigail answered.

"That's funny, Charlie also paid for this suit," I said. "Back for Azura and Patrick's wedding,"

"So Kyle suggested this nice restaurant for us," Abigail said. "I reserved us two seats, and I made sure they served your favourite type of wine,"

I kissed her on the cheek. "What did I do to deserve you?" I asked.

Abigail smiled. "Well, it's probably better not to answer that,"

I lightly smacked her arm. "Hey!" I said.

Abigail took my hand, leading me down the hallway, we passed groups of soldiers standing about, and we passed Azura taking Charlene for a walk, as we left the fort, I don't normally like babies but that one managed to win me over.

it was snowing and in the evening light Frostbourne in red colours, a beautiful site, almost as beautiful as my girlfriend. she took me to one of the buildings bordering the wall, which still had a massive hole in it.

"do you think they'll fix that?" Abigail asked, as one of the works rested on the wall knocking part of it down.

"I think Patrick needs to hire someone else to help fix it," I added, as another part just fell off. "anyway, where are we eating?" I asked.

"Here," Abigail said pointing to a glowing sign above the door. 'Steak Your Claim Grill'

"Did Charlie help name it?" I joked remembering his puns.

Abigail laughed and opened the door, we got directed to a small table by a window with closed curtains. we talked for a bit until our dinner arrived, I had a stake done rare, and Abigail also had a stake, well done, but before she could start eating.
