POV Charlie
"We are nearly there?" Shizuku asked stretching her arms and yawning.
"A few more hours," Charlie said also yawning. "if look ahead, you can just make the lights out of something, how are they looking?"
"They're all very hot, nothing seems to cool them," Shizuku answered.
Charlie let out a sigh. "We'll have to keep going then, and just hope this healer person is the real deal,"
we went on, a fog settling in around us, Shizuku ended up falling asleep further back on the wagon, we'd been travelling with little breaks and it tiered the people young...well not actually that young, water nymph and Charlie felt guilty, he should have insisted her and Sheila stayed back with the other.
by the time we found the house, the fog was so dense that I could barely see in front of me, I took out my touch and searched for a door, finding it, I knew it was late, but this was important, so in this moment I remembered what my dad taught me to do in these moments. "HEY! OPEN THE DOOR! WE NEED HELP!" I say as I bang on the door over and over.
POV 3rd person
Rylie laid Elsa down and sat with Moon, and the partly recovered Sheila, although Sheila's arm was broken, and moving took a lot of energy out of her. "So we were the only ones you found?" Sheila asked. "no sign of my sister?"
"I'm sorry," Rylie said. "But I couldn't see anyone, there's a village not far from here we can go to check once you're better,"
"Oh there is nothing to be sorry for, if Shizuku wasn't there, she is very much alive, and I will.."
"HEY! OPEN THE DOOR! WE NEED HELP!" followed by hammering on the door, and then crying from the baby.
Rylie growled and marched to the door, and pulled it. "LISTEN HERE MATE! I HAVE SLEEPING....oh gods," she looked at Charlie, he looked bad, he was covered in dirt, had some small cuts on his face, and she could make out bodies highlighted by lamps on a cart.
"Look, I know it's late, and I have friends with them, their blood has been poisoned, in their blood, I've done what I can for them, but I don't have what I need for them," Charlie explained.
POV Charlie
"bring them in, I've got a little hospital in the back of the house," the Woman said.
I sighed in relief. "Thank you," I said.
"Rylie who..."
I looked over her shoulder and a massive smile grew over my face, and went past Rylie, and rushed over to Moon and gave her a hug. "I thought you were dead!" I said nearly crying.
"Ouch," Moon said.
"Sorry, sorry," I said ending the hug. "Are any of the others with you?"
"Sheila and Damian," Moon answered.
"that few," I muttered. "Well, it's better than nothing,"
"Who's with you?" Moon asked.
"Most of the others, although most of them aren't doing well," I answered.
"let's get them inside then," Rylie said.
it took us a few hours to get everyone inside and start to help them, Rylie gave them her best medicine off the bat and gave me access to what I might need to start trying to make a cue. "if you need me, I'll be upstairs with the baby,"
Moon sat next to me, while I started on. "you look like you could do with some sleep." Moon said.
"I can sleep once I've found a way to help them," I answered.
