POV ???
I watched covered in the armour, the guard didn't need it anymore, she didn't need anyone anymore, and it would take a lot of work to find the body, I doubt anyone here could do it.
I walked the wall slowly, well what was intact, was that frostbourne was still repairing the damage to the wall from their war with the red legion and others since, I'm not complaining it made it much earlier to get here.
my target is here, I know she is, years hunting her, and the red legion hides her well, a super weapon, but now they're gone and I can complete my mission, my husband will be pleased.
I need to find her first, shouldn't be hard, she'll likely be around one of two people, the nerd with the scarf, learning about him was easy, a human male in his early 20s, not a fighter, and wears a very colourful scarf.
I entered the main castle, passing a pair in the hallway, I know their names but we don't have much information on them. One was an unfeeling machine creature, which reminds me too much of those cyborg monsters. the second looked like an idiot, his name was known, as Ember.
"Meeps!" Ember called. "You're 18, you know what that means?" he asked.
"Y'all will stop calling me a kid?" Meeps asked back, looking up at the taller person.
"No!" Ember said almost cheerfully. "you can gamble!"
the other two in the room including, a guard only armed with a frying ban standing close to the door that would lead deeper into the complex.
Meeps looked at him both confused and tired. "What?"
"Come on!" Ember started. "let me show you!"
the guard with the pan moved out of the way of the door as it burst open, another newcomer Andwer, rushed in almost as if he know Ember was doing something stupid. "YOU ARE NOT TEACHING MY LITTLE SISTER HOW TO GAMBLE, EMBER AYERS!"
I took that moment to move further in, I passed through the hulls unnoticed for a long time, until someone came out of the shadows, white cloak and hood, a defender of the trust, their current leader. Lucas.
"Guard!" he said, stepping to block my way. "I need to you take this note to the lab, it is for the eyes of Lady Azura only," he said holding out a small bit of paper.
I took it. "At once..." he was gone before I had even finished the sentence. I hated the defenders of the truth, so overly dramatic.
I reached the lab, the one with the scarf was there, along with Lady Azura and the nether king was sitting on a worktop table. I stopped outside to listen in.
"What are you two building?" the nether king asked.
Lady Azura handed the scarfed man some wires. "A dimensional locator," she answered.
"To answer your next question, it's to help Ember and co find a way back to their universe," The scarf man added. "it'll scan them and should locate their home dimension,"
"Actually that brings to another question, Charlie how come Meeps is 18, I thought she was only 17 a few months ago," the nether king said.
Charlie shrugged. "That's simple, this universe is in Constance flux, due to multiple temporal and dimensional issues means we oddly experience time, so where a year has seemly passed for Meeps it has only been a few months of us,"
Lady Azura and the Nether king both looked at him. "I am certain you made all that up," Lady Azura said.
Charlie shrugged again. "Chose to believe what you want," he said. "I need to head out, some personal things to deal with,"
