Chapter 27

"Welcome to Burj Al Arab Jumeira. My name is Rahidi and I'll be at your service for your duration here. I hope you find your stay here pleasant and if you need anything we have helpers all around the hotel at your service"

We both nod tiredly as Rahidi went on and on leading us to our suites.

"Khamenze athule Andile yho ha.a(Andile please make her stop)"I utter in a whisper as we followed behind her. This lady has been talking ever since we got here telling us about the establishment of this place and how many bricks it took to build it,eyy kuningi nje.

"Thank you Rahidi for the warm welcome and trust us we'll enjoy it here"Andile affirms as Rahidi gave us our access keys. Our suites are right across each other so we both said our goodbyes and got in our rooms.

I walked in and the room welcomed me I swear if this is not heaven then I don't know. The lighting is perfect,the decor is modern and perfect,the space is amazing and my favorite the view its fantastic in every way.

I placed my purse and bouquet of flowers on the coffee table and walked over to my bed.

I took the gift basket that carried a bath hamper and chocolates with a welcoming note inside thats written in Arabic. I placed it on the pedestal and threw myself on the bed,just as I was falling asleep the door bell rings.

I angrily stood up to get the door and its Rahidi with another guy this time walking in with my luggage. I thanked them and walked them out again,closing the door
behind them and walked back to bed to sleep.

I got woken up by the door bell again. I opened my eyes and groaned running my hands down my face. Why can't people understand that I hate being disturbed from my sleep. The door bell rang again as I stood up to get the door.

"Wake up sweety we didnt come here to sleep"Andile says walking in past me. I rolled my eyes closing the door.

"I feel like a Zombie"

"Well you look like one,just go take a shower and trust me you will feel refreshed after that"he says sitting down on the couch.

I went to sit next to him. "Why do I have to wake up again?"

"To prepare for the dinner you have with Mr Sondrey and to also prepare for your zoom meeting thats in 45 minutes"he says checking time on his watch.

"Yhuuu hayi I'm not in the mood"I whine stomping my feet.

"Then you should've just stayed in South Africa,why are we here?"

I roll my eyes forcing myself to stand up and take a shower.

I took my toiletries and made my way to the bathroom to take a long relaxing and steaming shower. I lotioned and got dressed in my Versace two piece shirt and pants with Crocs for shoes.

I brushed my hair laying the edges and applied lip gloss.

"Please fetch my laptop"I ask seating on the single couch next to the one he is sitting on. He stands up to get the laptop and places it on the coffee table.

"How many minutes do I have before the meeting starts?" I ask thinning my eyes.

"5 minutes"he answers checking his wrist again. I open the laptop.

"Sorry to be a pain but I'll also need my diary and pen"

He sighs standing up to get them.

The meeting starts and takes an hour which is much shorter then expected especially with this client. Its always a situation of his company getting in trouble with SARS.
