Chapter 14

Third Person's POV

"Girls, what's going on? Why are you both in a hurry?" Mr. Bae asked his daughters. The two did load all their belongings inside the compartment as if they couldn't afford to waste any time.

"Let them, Hon, they are just excited. We haven't gone camping for so long." Mrs. Bae told her husband. "I think we are all set to go."

"Would you like me to drive, uncle?" Lisa offered.

"Not a chance sweetheart you sit with the other girls at the back. I can handle it. I am still getting scared to allow you or Joohyun behind the steering wheel."

Lisa just joined Yeri and Irene in the back seat. The two were whispering incoherent words while she was just sitting between them. "Hey, what are you whispering about?"

"Nothing Lis. I just asked unnie about something." Yeri downplayed.

Irene secretly slid her hand to reach Lisa's hand. It made Lisa smile and took her girlfriend's warm hand.

Yeri rolled her eyes. The lovers couldn't contain themselves for sure. She wouldn't react anymore if they got caught by their parents. What was bothering her is the text message she got from Seulgi. She told her sister about it and they made sure Seulgi won't be able to catch even a glimpse of Irene. She made an alibi to Seulgi that she wasn't home and her sister was at work. But Seulgi kept calling her because obviously, Yeri wasn't that convincing. The young Bae had to turn off her phone to avoid Seulgi.

She was just trying to help her sister. She wouldn't want Lisa to get hurt with Seulgi's presence but the only way to settle this is when Irene faces Seulgi and tells her straight she has moved on.

She watched the lovers exchange subtle glances and she only regretted it. She just missed Somi even more and they were just a sad reminder that dating someone that belongs to a very strict and traditional focus family is really hard. She longed for the day that Somi would be proud of her and introduce her as a girlfriend, not just a friend when people spotted them together. She understood how hard the situation is for both her sister and Lisa having the first-hand experience herself.

Lisa was in between the sisters and during the trip she eventually dozed off and was leaning towards Yeri. Lisa and Yeri are close friends and it didn't bother Yeri if her sister's lover was on her shoulder. She just made sure Lisa was comfortable with her position. Unknown to the young Bae her sister was already frustrated that Lisa wasn't leaning on her. During the bumpy ride, Irene would gently move Lisa's head towards her. So she could support it and be able to help her sleep comfortably. But Lisa would turn back to Yeri's shoulder since it's more convenient for her.

"Yerimi, move aside." Irene gritted her teeth. She didn't want her to be obvious to their parents.

"What? But Lisa is sleeping. I may wake her up if I moved?"

"Tsk, you're just too slow. Can't you see? She could sleep properly when her head is on my lap. She just had a serious accident and she needed to rest properly."

"But isn't she fully recovered already, unnie? What are you talking about?"

"Just listen to me or else I will poke your big eyes," Irene warned.

Yeri shut her eyes afraid her sister was being serious and she didn't want to try her patience but she couldn't just move. There was no space anymore to move. "How should I do that? And please don't dare poke my eyes."

"Are you girls, okay?" Mrs. Bae asked them? Joohyun and Yeri stop moving around. Lisa is sleeping. Let her rest since we are still far from the camping site."
