Third Person's POV

Little Yeri watched her sister play with other kids at the playground. She was just there the whole time. She attempted to at least ask some of the kids she knew from the block if she could play with them a couple of times but the kids just raised their eyebrows on her. To be honest she felt jealous but she couldn't bring herself to ask again after being turned down. What's their reason? Simply because she's Irene's precious little sister. She is both privileged and cursed just for being a younger Bae. Her sister was overly protective of her and kids would never dare to play with her knowing Irene would toss them one by one if Yeri got hurt. Something that she was both thankful for and would want to complain about at times.

Lisa noticed that her best friend's little sister had been looking at her. Well, she thought Yeri was just a shy girl so she never mingled with other kids.

"Yah why are you staring at me? Do you need anything?" She snorted.

Yeri stuck her tongue out. She was actually flabbergasted that she got caught. She thought Lisa was way too busy watching her sister and the other kids play hide and seek. She was about to cry, something she would usually do to get away in a difficult situation. But only ended up regretting it because her sister will get mad at whoever caused her tears to fall. And she didn't want Lisa and Irene to fight.

"That's bad Yeri. You don't do that to anyone older than you." Lisa reprimanded. She always acts as a role model to the younger kids.

"I was just," She pouted. She never wanted to disappoint Lisa of all people. She's cool with what others think about her. Her image was not important for her but she cared about Lisa's expectations.

Irene was looking for Lisa. The other kids call it a day because they have to study. "Lis, let's go we will have to join the group study." She looked at Yeri. "I'll call the driver to pick you up. Don't go anywhere."

Lisa answered Irene. "I'll be there in a bit." She turned to Yeri again. "Yo, kid. Why don't you play just like the rest? You can join your sister, you know?"

"I don't have friends. They don't want me to join because of unnie. Would you like to play with me, Lisa? My mum got me a new set of dolls. They are all lovely. I can give you one. Please, pretty please just say yes." She was alluring Lisa to say yes to her.

Lisa scratched her head. Playing with Barbie dolls was not appealing to her. Not her thing. She would rather read classic stories than play with those dolls. However, she was forced to fake like she was enjoying it when Irene would ask her to play with her when they were much younger. An exception that she can never say no to. She felt like she does not need to pretend around Yeri since she was just a little girl.

"Nuh, I am not interested, Yeri."

"Why not? I saw you played a couple of times with unnie. Why did you lose interest in dolls now?" Yeri innocently asked. She is always curious about everything.

"Aish, I'll explain it to you some other time kid. Gotta go, your sister will kill me."

Yeri's role models were her sister and Lisa. But she sees Lisa as a bright star that shines down on her. She's happy to see her smile, she's sad when Lisa's sad too. And it was like a domino effect because Lisa's feelings are dependent on Irene's. As years go by Yeri understood things beyond that not commonly acceptable to others. She thought she was being weird but she likes Girls- Generation. Indeed she grew fond of Lisa and that small crush turned into a big one. Yet she knew it was hopeless when Lisa sees only her sister. She's not jealous about it. She learned to accept it. Her sister was unaware that her best friend caught a feeling for her. Lisa didn't know Yeri had a huge crush on her. And the three never know who's really gay or straight among them. Only Irene had been officially out and proud about her sexuality. Their parents accepted her and Seulgi. Yeri tends to be gay but always discreet. While Lisa she's the last person you can ever think of to be swinging that way. Maybe Lisa just thought no one notice her gayness. And she was able to fool everyone with her pretense but never Yeri.
