Chapter 31

Third Person's POV

*There's no continuation. They were interrupted by Bogum's call. After Lisa briefly spoke with him she decided to turn off her phone. She wanted to only focus her attention on her lovely girlfriend. Bogum just invited her out for dinner and she declined it politely. She reminded him how busy she is due to the ongoing case. And that there was no way she could go out with him. She also mentioned bringing Irene with her once all her schedules are cleared. It did disappoint the bachelor but getting a yes next time sounds promising even if they were accompanied by a chaperone. He'll take that as nothing. Anyway, Irene isn't an outsider. She's a good friend of him too. He really wanted to pursue courting the young and promising attorney.  He was worried that his rivals were more likely to get ahead of him since Taehyung has been very quiet.

It was already dark when they arrived at Pyeongchang Alpensia Ski Resort. Lisa didn't feel tired after driving all the way there for as long as they could use this time to bond together. She brought everything they needed so basically her girlfriend wouldn't need anything. Irene's face looked smaller with the goggles on and with the balaclava covering her entire face. Lisa helped to put on the protective gear prior to her girlfriend. She made sure that Irene won't get a single scratch or would feel cold during their activities. She offered her hand to Irene as they were dragging the ski boards uphill with them. She said it's good for them if they could walk a little compared to riding the cable cars to get to their destination. They would ride the cable cars once they had successfully done the beginner's course. They felt nothing but excitement. They have been planning this kind of getaway ever since they were young but are unable to try it due to the lack of time. And Irene usually stayed at home during winter break.

"Wow, it's freezing cold in here," Irene commented as she shivers. She was rubbing her arms alternately. Her breath met the cold air and it was quite fascinating to watch.

Lisa glanced at her. For a couple of minutes, she felt she was watching a scene from a K-drama series. She pulled Irene closer to her. She unzipped her winter coat and hugged her small girlfriend's frame. "Are you still feeling cold, Baby?" Her body is naturally warmer that's why Irene loves to cuddle with her all the time.

"This is a lot better. Let's stay like this just a bit longer until my body is fully adjusted to the temperature." Irene was feeling chilly. She was glad Lisa had her initiative.

"Sure, Baby." Lisa kissed Irene's forehead. "Don't worry we're already close by the beginner's slope course. Once we got slid down from the bunny hill there was an open snack house for skiers and other guests. We can try their best sellers there. I bet you love to have chowder and hot chocolate."

"Baby, it's you who loves hot chocolate drinks. I'll have iced americano also please add churros."

"Alrighty, iced americano plus churros for my Baby."

They slowly moved again following the trail. It was the time of the year that few skiers would visit the resort so there were fewer people around the area. Once they got to the right spot Lisa with full enthusiasm explained to her girlfriend the basic things about ski-boarding.

"Alright, let's put those boards on." She assisted Irene in getting on her boards. "Be sure there's no snow on the board. This one is the heel bind and the front one is the toe bind. Gently put down your boots in place. I will lock the toe binds." Irene just followed as instructed. "Can you move your boots? I want to ensure that the binds are a bit tighter."

"It's good, I guess?" Irene confirmed unknowingly. She trusted Lisa in everything so she knows nothing could go wrong.

"Cool, now let's get to the basic. You'll have to know about making pizza and french fries. Those two are very important for you to successfully slide down this slope. Once you get the hang of it then you'll be able to do carving."
