I ran back to our van and gave my colleagues the medicines. I wanted to ask the pharmacist some questions but I have an emergency to attend to.

"Atty. Bae, I've been drinking for the past 20 years of my life and I never experience anything like this." A senior colleague tried his best to explain what he was feeling.

"We are close to the hospital. Just please hold on."

"I think I am going to pass out anytime soon." Sec. Cha couldn't understand what was going on with her stomach. She wanted to vomit but nothing was coming out. "I felt like we did drink the best soju they could offer."

"Did we drink the expired ones?" Atty. Han asked.

We arrived at the emergency entrance and I quickly asked the hospital staff to help me. "Help, my colleagues have been complaining about stomach pain."

"What happened?" A first responder attended us and calling other staff to assist the patients.

"I don't know. We were just having fun and drinking then one by one they started to complain about their stomach. I thought they were just too drunk." I tried to explain briefly.

More emergency staff came to help us. 7 of my colleagues have major complaint of abdomen pain and vomiting. A nurse took their information from me and I could only answer the basics. I was asked to call their immediate relatives. They also asked me to wait in the waiting area as they were all busy attending to all the new patients. I did inform the Director about the ongoing situation and some of the family members of my colleagues arrived which lessened my worries.

A doctor approached me "Were you the companion of the patients?"

"Yes, doc."

"We are still checking for the blood chem results. There's a great possibility that they got food poison. We need to determine what caused their stomachs to get upset. And we may need the police intervention once we get the result. Currently we are doing suctions to remove whatever they have intake. To be honest it could have been life threatening if you did not take the initiative to bring them in here right away. Particularly the old patient. There could be underlying health issues and we need to speak directly to his family to get their consent for the next procedure." He explained. "We could not verify if he has a health history since he is currently unconscious and he has no record with us. He was really dehydrated when you arrived."

"I already called Atty. Jung's wife and she's on her way, Doc. You can ask anything from her."

"Thank you, Ma'am. I recommend that you get some rest and we will just let you know if something comes up. Or once the police are here."

"No, worries, Doc. I know the procedures. I am a lawyer myself." I took out a business card. "You can contact me anytime. I just need to head back to the penthouse to get my secretary's staff since her family isn't around."

He read my business card. "Oh, alright, Atty. Bae. Thanks to you they are all safe. So please do not worry too much about your colleagues. They are not in danger anymore."

I've been racking my brain what could be the possible reason that they got food poison. Was it the soju or did we ate something? Out of 8 only I did not drink the soju and I got spared. We also ate the same food there. So it must be the soju. Was it really expired or contaminated? If the hospital got all the medical results the forensic team could ask for samples as well so they can check which substance cause that.

The pub was jam-packed and out of all the customers we were the only group that experienced the food poisoning. Was it intentional? Or just coincidence? I couldn't just wait so I went back to the pub. Luckily, they haven't close yet.
