Third Person's POV
Irene stared at the pile of documents she needed to review. As much as she wanted to focus on her work she couldn't just do it. She made her priority to-do list and of course, that greatly involved Lisa in it. She bit her lower lip as she was waiting to get connected to the salesperson she talked with last week."Hey, yes it is Atty. Bae. I was trying to check if they can expedite the delivery since it is back in stock. Is it possible?" She didn't want to sound in a hurry but she needed the items as soon as possible. It was rare for her to do online shopping but that's the only way she could purchase them given her hectic schedule. She's twice as busy but she makes sure she won't be slacking at work and won't lack time for Lisa. They barely talked to each other because whoever got home first would fall asleep. And in the morning the two of them would rush outside to report at work.
"Yes, Atty. Bae my men already delivered it in your new place. Your girlfriend would love it." Irene was relieved the items were already delivered.
"You think so? She had bad dreams recently and someone recommended that I should order a good mattress and some new comforters from your company. Also, I checked the consumers' reviews. It wouldn't hurt to try, right?"
"Of course. You made the right decision." The head of Sales guaranteed that buying from their store was the best decision made by Irene.
"Alright, I will just wire the last payment within the day. I am just in the middle of work but have to follow up on this." She reached out for the notepad and pen.
"Thank you, Atty. Bae."
"You are welcome and thank you as well for your good service."
Irene hung up and crossed out the items from the checklist. She was browsing the internet to see if she could order a Himalayan salt lamp or an effective oil scent that she could use on their oil diffuser. She's looking for something that could help Lisa to be able to sleep better. It was bothering her to see Lisa having difficulty sleeping especially after she woke up from a nightmare. She couldn't just ignore it anymore. There was one time, Lisa was screaming incoherent words in the middle of the night. She cooed and sang for her to relax. When she asked Lisa what was going on the former would just dodge the question and would assure her that everything is alright. They already agreed they would discuss it one of these days but Lisa kept stalling away. Other than that Lisa seemed to be her usual self and just busy with her case. Also if it is something serious for sure her girlfriend would share it with her.
It was time to go home and Irene hurried. She wanted to cook for Lisa. When she got in front of their home. Her tiredness immediately vanished and beamed her million-dollar smile. She wanted to meet Lisa with happy vibes. As she touched the digital lock door and got inside their humble abode. She was shocked when she saw her girlfriend on the floor staring blankly at a photo that must have fallen. She dropped to her knees to check on her girlfriend. She panicked at Lisa's state.
"Baby, what's going on? Are you alright?" She took the photo to take a better look at it. It was just a photo of the forest with a jeep on standby. "What is it, Baby?" She glanced back at her girlfriend full of concern. It was the first time she saw Lisa looked so scared about something. She shook Lisa's body to get some kind of response and even yelled at her.
Lisa rose up as if she didn't see Irene. She went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water. Irene followed her. "Hey, haven't you heard or seen me? I was asking you what was that?"
Lisa came back to her senses. She didn't notice her girlfriend entered their place. "Joohyun, you're home. Why didn't you tell me ahead? I could have picked you up." Irene couldn't believe that Lisa was acting all weird.
