Someone is knocking on my office door. "Come in!" I have been massaging my head. "Darn, this headache. Why are you not leaving me alone? I can't focus." I whined.

"Here." She tossed a medicine. Good thing I was able to catch it. My forehead obviously creased. Can't she give it properly to me?

"Thanks, Somi."

"Oh, don't mention it. Did you meet up with unnie again? You look awful every time you come back after seeing her."

"Yeah. Same old Bae. She's really getting on my nerves." I said half annoyed. I am not sure if I am annoyed because she didn't say I love you back or because I am being a loser. She probably didn't hear it. But I made sure the first one is audible. Argh, I should be thinking of her anymore.

Somi is my cousin who is doing her internship at our law firm. She's nosy most of the time but she's a reliable one. "I am thinking that she's more than a friend to you. Why don't you tell her that you can be attracted to women too? Even Mrs. Kim could smell you from afar. No wonder she begged for you to handle her case. That woman seems to like you. She's hitting on you since day one but you seem to be not minding at all. Damn, she's a big catch. Why not date her when the divorce is settled? But still, I need you to be careful, Attorney."

I chuckled. "For a future lawyer, your head has been polluted by reading romantic novels and k-dramas. What nonsense is that?"

"You're in big trouble, Attorney. Don't tell me I did not warn you." She put another pile of paper works for me to review.

I threw the eraser at her face. "Get out! I will call you if I need anything."

She raised her two hands in complete surrender. "Well, I am really outta here. Someone might end up entangled with the wrong person."

She retreated. I could only massage my aching head. Why did I even let her work here? She's such a nuisance. I took the medicine she gave me and swallowed it. Gees, I hate how she could read me easily. She was right about everything.

My phone suddenly rang and when I checked the caller's ID, I instantly answered it. Yeri's calling.

"Lis, I am with Joohyun unnie. She's -" The moment she mentioned Joohyun's name made me all worried.

"Where are you guys right now?"

"Starfield COEX-"

I did not let Yeri finish. I know the mall and it's not that far here. "Okay, just wait for me there."

"Hey, wait Lis." Yeri must be saying something but I already hang up the call and immediately put my coat on.

"Attorney, Mrs. Kim just arrived. She's waiting for you." My secretary Sakura approached me.

"Tell Mrs. Kim I have an emergency. Get her anything she likes. Anything, give her coffee, whatever. It's up to you." My work life has always been easy because of Secretary Miyawaki. I couldn't be a successful lawyer without her help.

"But she specifically requested your presence." Her face was obviously worried because Mrs. Kim is a big-time client that we can never disregard. But I got more important matters to attend to.

"You handle it." I dismissed her.
I couldn't waste any time. There's this adrenaline rush in my vein. I know Mrs. Kim is not someone I can take for granted easily but Joohyun is more important. I might be leaving my client a bad impression but the hell I care. It must be important because Yeri called.

I arrived at the mall almost out of breath. I was glad, I recognized Yeri right away. "Yeri, where's Joohyun?"

"My God! Are you alright? Can you please breathe first?" Yeri asked.
