Third's Party POV

Lisa was summoned by his uncle. She was asked to resume her work or just finish her case since she already started it. It's not so bad if their firm would be represented by his brilliant niece. After all the defendant hired a lawyer from their rival firm. Lisa is already known for her high-profile clients but most of them were connected to politics. When she got Joy's case it stirred public interest. She wasn't only representing their law firm but handling a superstar's lawsuit against another entertainment superstar, Yook Sung Jae. And the actor wasn't just someone popular, he's from a very influential family, and his father is the current CEO of a reputable pharmaceutical company. The defendant didn't know Joy could pull some strings too. She maintained her private life not until something like this blew up. But she's confident enough that she would win the case having Atty. Lalisa Manoban on her side. Besides her best friend Jennie wouldn't recommend the lawyer if she's not the best one.

First-day hearing.

"I Park Sooyoung, swear that I will speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth according to my own conscience, and if there is any falsehood in my statement, I shall be punished for perjury." Joy gave her oath as the hearing proceeded.

Atty. Choi Minho looked so intimidating as he walked closer to Joy and start asking her a few questions.

"Ms. Park, you and Mr. Yook recently worked together. And there are witnesses who could attest that the two of you are well acquainted on the set. Even during promotions, you have nothing but praise for your co-star. What lead you to file a lawsuit against him when the two of you are close?"

Joy stared at Lisa first and the latter nodded. She wanted her client to speak confidently. They have nothing to hide and she studied the case very well and all the evidences that were presented prior. "It's because I felt that Sung Jae is being too much. He's getting mad all the time when another actor is talking to me. He even punched an innocent actor when he just asked something about a work related to me while we were on the set filming."

"Can you name the actor?" Atty. Choi brows raised.

Joy had some hesitation if she should drag her co-actor into this. But she was left with no choice. Mingyu's testimony could help her prove that Sung Jae is really a violent person.

"Ms. Park, why can't you tell me the name of the actor?" Atty. Choi asked impatiently. "You said he hit someone. I want you to tell us who is this actor?"

"It's my co-actor Kim Mingyu."

The audience murmured when another actor was mentioned. No one knows about the incident. It was covered as the producer didn't want it to be an issue prior to the airing of the drama.

"If that happened. Why there's no complaint filed from Mr. Kim's party? Are you making up stories Ms. Park?"

"Oh no, I am not. That's true you can ask Mingyu yourself." She gritted her teeth. The lawyer was making her look like a liar. She was getting worried as she dropped Mingyu's name.

"I am not saying that. But if he got assaulted then he should have at least filed a complaint against the defendant. Mr. Yook has a clean record, no derogatory or anything. Or anyone could have reported the incident. Wasn't that odd?" He gave Lisa a challenging look. "But there's none, Ms. Park. Are you saying false accusations to get the upper hand? What if we can prove that an incident never existed? Don't you know what you are getting yourself, Ms. Park?"

Joy gulped. "I am not lying! I was there. I helped Mingyu to get up and apologized on behalf of Sung Jae. I even offered Mingyu a ride to the hospital to check if his nose got broken." She felt hopeless defending herself. "Sung Jae was so shameless and he always gets away from his misconduct."
